Yeah, since no one else has said they were coming, my deal hasn't gone through yet, and I spent the whole day at the gun show, I think I'm going to give tonight's meet a miss. See y'all next month.

Anyone planning to come tonight? I'm debating whether or not to dig the Seven out of the garage.

I'll head out then. The Cub is down for new engine gaskets so I'll be in the VW.

While I don't hate that idea, I really don't think it would get more people to show up. I could be wrong...

^ Honestly I'm not sure either.
I know for us it would be a lot easier to make a meet if we had more time to gear up for it so to speak.
For some reason it's really hard to get people to show up at meets in general in DFW.

We'll make it back out one of these days. Seems like everytime a meet comes up we have a ton of things to do that make it impossible to show up.

Hey fellas, I've been stalking the thread from time to time and haven't found the time to come out to a meet. Is it every first Sunday of the month? I'm a Mazda guy that recently sold a '96 Miata and bought an RX-8. My wife also has a Protege5. Not exactly vintage, but they carry a lot of the same spirit. 8)

I hope you don't give up on the meets. I am looking forward to possibly see a vintage JDM scene develop...

We'll keep it going, even if only a few people show up. I will probably be a lot more into when I have a JNC that actually runs. :P

Yeah, attendance has been going downhill slightly. This past meet it was myself, Tim (Datsun 7), other Tim (Honda Cub), and Cody (Crash1976).

I think we just need to be more active aboout promoting the meet to anyone we see with a nostalgic. :D :tu:

time of the year has a lot to do with it too. even tho the weather has been nice everyone is busy with holiday planning, shopping, company parties etc etc.

a lot of people who drive nostalgics around dallas don't seem to give much of a crap at least the ones i've chased down or tried to talk with so makes it tougher to find ones who do want to come out to a meet.

i'd like to have one nice good sized meet - like at least a dozen cars in the spring.
we should really try to promote for something like that to get more folks coming out more regularly.

At least you have a JNC, I am jealous, but I also know where a Toyota Mark III wagon is and am seriously wanting to make an offer.

Maybe in the future we can try to do some kind of JNC mini show. :D

I did learn about a meet lately that meets every SUnday in Southlake. It is mainly import based (modern imports), but there are several domestics that show up. They even have there own message board. The other Sunday when I went I even meet a couple of guys with some 280ZX's and a guy with a 75 Hilux. :D :tu: :tu:

My teeth are already chattering thinking about taking the Seven out this next Sunday. I think I might wear the Ol' Driving Suit and helmet this time... Hmm, that's not such a bad idea, think to come of it. Ok, barring precipitation, I'll be there.
