Will the Z 24 head and fuel injection swap over to a L 20 B block without to much hassle ? I know I'll need the ECM and FI fuel delivery pump also the distributor. thanks Glenn

There's a slight difference in the timing cover where it meets the head, but mixing and matching gaskets usually sorts that out. Most crucial though is the main oil feed for the head is in a different spot. Some minor machine work is required to mate them up.

If you really want a fuel injected 2.0L with a Z-series head, why not just get a complete Z20E? Everything you want in a factory package that you know fits and works well? Also, the '80-83 200SX EFI (Z20E/Z22E) is a good bit better than what came on the Z24.

Note that some head gaskets (like the one shown) have an offset oil passage hole to compensate for the two oil holes being a few millimeters apart. This should eliminate the need to do that machine work.

You will also notice some of the coolant passages don't line up correctly. Most people drill extra holes into the block to allow for coolant passage around the pistons. Some have reported their engines not lasting very long without drilling these holes (pistons badly scored from heat damage in less than 20k miles).
