Attension fellow builders we have a scammer in our midst and he has sold people poor quality parts, made no effort to replace them, issued no refunds or replacement parts and has ripped of every person i know who has bought from him. His name is "Mario Gonzalez" and also goes by the name of "ENDLESS PROJEKS" he is president here on this forum http://www.modelscientists.com/ Do not buy from him do not support his forum and tell you other Fellow modeler the same. If you have bought from him and have recieved poor quality product from him or model scientist. Message me personally your info with pics if you have them and your purchase number or related info please this kind of people need to be stopped and held accountable for there actions.

As a example... I offerered to buy a $30 dollar kit with another at best or $50 of his product on it which i could of cared less about. and can be seen here http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid= ... =1&theater ... and this was the response i got ..... Mario Gonzalez

Hi. Thanks for the interest. The ek is about 90percent done at this point. The only reason i said i could not finish it is because its missing an exhaust system. But its fully built with a k20 and custom paint job. To be honest, i dont want to let it go. But for the right price i would consider it. Asking price would be at least 300$. If you cant understand why im asking so much. Then my time and money invested isint worth selling yet. Thanks again though for your consideration.

There is quit a few other builders who have been sold poor quaility parts i have the pics to prove it and will be posting them shortly thanks for your support

WOW  some REALLY nice builds in here for sure...

i haven't built a model in a LOOOONNNNGGGG time -though use to LOVE doing it...
use to cut and chop different ones together -and make all sorts ov weird creations -and loved it...

one model i built the most ov was the Toyota New Soarer 3000GT Limited
http://modelcarsandmore.net/yahoo_site_admin/assets/images/018.191151448_std.JPG

did this car in this form ever exist in real life??? never have i see one anywhere other than model kit form...

wish i had foto's ov my old kits -they are all stored DEEP in a two car garage FILLED to the top -with stuff...
i hope one day to have a place big enough to display them for my child -yet for the past 5years -NOTHING from within there has been removed :(

Wow, just came across this thread - and am impressed with the work and experience you guys have here! I thought everyone would be too busy working on their 1 to 1 scale projects, and am excited to see the varied flavor of models.

I have been building for many many years, mostly during the winter months....here is one of my latest that I finished.

Well I am also on the Model Scientists forum and have found it to be a great place to network with other modelers that build similar to myself.

As for doing business with the company Model Scientists. I have found there products to be not too bad. I have used better, but then I have also used worse too. I did have a problem with one of my orders but after a few emails it was resolved. They have some interesting products and would order from them again.

Derek, I do it the old skool way...From scratch!

I start off every one of my engines from plans, pictures, and the real thing. I take measurements, and scale them down to the size I need. Then I get sheet, rod and bar stock styrene, and fabricate the parts...starting off with the block, moving on to the head, and then you get the rest. I do not use existing kit engines for my builds. I can find fault with almost every one that I see (not that mine are any better) but after I spend the time correcting them, I could have built my own from scratch to begin with.

I do cast copies of my engines and sell them, but right now my molds are all worn out. For this series, I'll be re-using my block master...that's why it has a yellow sheen on it due to the mold rubber staining it. The timing cover is a cast copy that I was using to get my head proportions/alignment correct. I'll be making a new one soon.

Jimmy

I'm interested on the toyota engines that you have. Are they available for sale? I live in DeLand, FL please contact me at ca-mello-28@hotmail.com. I like and follow Toyota and had never seen engines like those.

Here is a vintage little gem of a race car I just finished. The 1967 BRE Hino Samurai.
Built from a somewhat obscure 1/24th scale kit (of a relatively obscure car) “out of the box” except for the replacement tires since the original ones melted into goop, and I made new rear view mirror faces. Paint is Testors enamel mixed to match the kit provided red-orange color chip. Even though it is an unusual little car, I think it is a cool looking one too. You can certainly see some similarity in it and the Shelby Daytona Coupe.

Did all that come with the kit, or is there a lot of scratch building?

As stated, except for the tires, it is out-of-the-box, so no scratch building on this one.

Good luck finding one. If I had realized how rare this kit was I would have made a mold off of it. It wasn’t until it was almost finished that I tried to find another kit, and could not find a one at any price.
Expect to pay a couple to a few hundred bucks, if you do succeed in finding one.

last time I got some engines from him, I just did it through PM. He is/was in the military, so he might be out of country or something.
