Whoa! Great job so far, car is looking sensational!! Definitely a keeper. I have always been a fan of the "flat front" on these as opposed to the pointy nose look.

Colour goes brilliantly with the trim. Keep the pics coming

Oz gets all the best Mazda's..(sad face) In NZ we only get rust buckets, and that's if you can even find one..

A small up date, I thought I'd do something totally different when you lift up the bonnett and BAM you see this. Not all will like it but its a bit different and not usually seen on an old VC motor.

Hmmm, that is interesting! 8)
Is that rocker cover air brushed or wrapped? Approx how much to get it done like that?
What colour are you going to do the air filter assembly and the engine block?

Its actually hydro dipped than coated in candy clears. Its a bit of a process approx $400-450 depending on condition of tappet. Block is going matt black and air filter I think I will go small round chrome or get the original one done as well.

A bit more progress happening when time permits. Got my bumpers centres back ( Great result by Restoremaz) and assembled. I've installed the rear bar, looks great. I'm yet to put the front bar on, next few days I hope. I'll post some pics up when I get the front bumper bolted on.

Well here is its maiden venture out to our All Japanese Day since I completed her, it was a bit wet but turned out to be a great day. I think I'll have to drop the back end down a bit.

Looks great, but agree that it needs a little bit more low, especially in the back
