So Ive been doing a bit of searching and Ive only gotten this same picture reblogged quite a few times on random blogs throughout the Internet. And they have all been recent posts... it seems like the mirrors have just surfaced.

The only thing thats killing me is I cant read Japanese. Im slowly translating the text to see if I can get anything out of it; the text in the pictures hasnt yielded me anything yet.

Reading Japanese is easy, it says...

"...provides instant 'baller' status and adds luck to driver in wooing pretty lady!"

Or something to that effect. I'm a bit fuzzy on that last part...

The magazine image is from the September issue of "Oldtimers" in Japan. The article talks about the new-old stock fender mirrors and from what I can gather, are for a Skyline (based on the shape). I only know of one person with them and the flowers themselves are different.

Good luck on it! Old stock + Skyline + romantic Japanese styling = contract with the devil. I would start with the blog on Rakuten and see what the guy says. His blog makes it sound like he is obviously proud of them, even wondering if he wants to run them for the event he attended.

With some work you could probably custom vacuum form a pair of clear cones to combine with the actual mirrors and stems. 8)

I actually have a set of mirrors very similar to these off of my Corona Mark II from Japan... Mind you they do not have the the cherry blossoms painted on them but they are very cool mirrors, but I switched to stock mirrors.

These aren't "painted on", they are a clear body with flowers inside the mirror. :mrgreen:
