Simon, I'm curious about this photo.... where are you from?
The only reason I ask is, because your WHITE RX-7 is in a blister.... I think in the US it only comes as a Mystery Car in a foil bag.

Hi,

If you look you can see that the colour of the car on the card is a different colour to the car in the blister..

I bought a blue RX-7, cut it out of the blister, and placed the white one inside! (Then resealed it.)

Just so I could hang it on the board.

Just in case you wanted to know anyway, I'm from the UK.

Simon.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I did notice the color of the car on the cardback, but the way Mattel works sometimes, you never know.... I thought maybe the car was actually being sold that way in Australia or Europe.

I would have never thought to do that. I figured it somehow got mixed in the wrong batch. I have one HW with the wrong car in the "blister" compared to what is on the packaging.

Here is one I just finished, even though I started it before the JCCS...
Hot Wheels RX-7
Lime Pearl over Bright Green base. Made decals for the taillights, license plate, badging, Dunlop tire lettering, and the period correct plaid interior too.

Isn't the orange car a Hyundai Genesis Coupe?

Any pix of the baby blue "Bōsōzoku Hot Wheels" yet? Curious to see what you're talking about.

I appreciate the intro/request, but the Seven is not Japanese, so I am not sure this is the proper forum/venue for it.
But if someone is really curious, it can be seen here:

I know it isn't japanese, but there are plenty of the replicas out there running datsun motors. Just remember seeing it in person a few years ago. Your hotwheels stuff is awesome as well.

OMG. I love seeing projects like this. The attention to detail you put into your work is just amazing and that includes your hotwheels (I mean, plaid interior on the rx7 too!?!) Keep up the amazing work! Do you sell or do commissions?

And just for fun you should do a mini to go with your Caterham, matchbox has one in thier 2012 lineup...

Yes, I do “build for hire”, in fact the RX-7 is a commissioned piece. And thank you.

Don't worry, is not like they are super strict here. You shouldn't get in any trouble. Besides, if you do, just blame it on me. After all, I did kind of instigate the whole diversion anyway.

When I said "mini" i wasnt referring to the car  , but yes, a 1/64 Caterham to compliment its bigger brother. Like what you did do for your Mini with larger and smaller versions...

Also do you have a website, eBay store or something where one can view more and/or purchase your work?

Ooops... Guess I misunderstood that one. I have done a couple of those MB Caterhams already, I may make one like one of my 1/12 scale versions someday, probably the JPE version.

I don't have an active website right now (guess I should get back on that...).

I post my small scale diecast projects on a few boards and my larger scale models on a few others. If you'd like to PM me I'll be glad to provide links.

As for purchasing my work, all projects are built to order. I don't build and then offer them for sale, I take orders first and build what is agreed upon.
