Anyone got pics of how the flares are installed?

Hi dmg1979,

I don't have a photo of HOW to do it, but I have a magazine with exact measurements of where they go.
I'll photocopy it this week sometime for you.

Hi all,
Progress has been painfully slow but there has been progress nonetheless. Bodyshell has been painted inside with the factory paint. Welding has been completed but there is a boxed section below the floorboard which was not really sorted out. Have to get that done soon.
Hope I can put back all the bits together again. Still a long way to go. I still got to thank all the guys on the forum who PMed me and offered advice and hooked me up with parts to get me here so far. You guys know who you are.

Looking good! How did the repairs of the back window work? Do you have any pictures. Body work is looking fantastic!

I was not too happy with the end results of the welding work on the underside, so I have got another welder and bodywork guy to rework the floorboard and inner wheel wells from underneath. Want it to look as good underneath as it is on the top. Got a room full of parts so far and managed to source some rubbers for the window. Waiting for it to come over from Japan. Also bought VBC110 recently. Will post pics when time permits.

Yea, Eric. I got a wagon. It is a real piece of shit. Looks like someone beat it with and ugly stick and crapped on it several times and it is missing many parts. Since I do have a high threshold for pain and I do think it has potential, I will try to restore it. I am trying to sort out the registration as the engine was blacklisted by our local Malaysian Road and Transport Authority.

A picture of the 240K with fenders cut out for GT-R flares. Got the dimensions off a japanese magazine. Looks quite clean so far. Not a job for the faint of heart!!! Shed a few tears as the body working guy cut up the original metal.

Nice, could you share the info you have on the cuts for flares?

Holy cow!
That's a lot of metal off!
I didn't realize it was so extensive.
You're really doing some great work here.

Whoa they cut alot of metal. I know the flares look tough but I never realized they had such big openings.

Loving this thread. Great work mate

Hi all, thanks for the replies. I did use the flares as a template before cutting out the arches. I also referred to magazine for the dimensions. I will post up pics as soon as possible. The cut out probably looks larger than it really is because it is using 13" wheels. Anyway i hope i got it right.

Uras1,
Is that your car? The metalwork is superb! Very nice lip you got made. Mine doesn't have that. What size wheels are you using? Where did you get the dimensions from? Do you have a thread for you build? Would love to see it. Looks very clean.

Adzmax,
I will post the article with the dimensions as soon as I get a hold of it. The magazine is still at the body shop.

Eric,
Posting a pic of the cut out with the fender flare and with dimensions from the magazine marked up on the body. Hope it is correct. About the wagon, I still didn't transfer the name yet and I would rather not post any pics until I am sure it is officially mine.

Hi john,
Some guy over here happened to have an old set lying around his shop. Wasn't cheap though. Anything with the word Nismo on it seems to command a high price. Even POS second hand items. Thankfully everyone here seems to prefer using RB or SR engines. L series engines seem to be forgotten.
