I don't know if you saw the Ebay ad for it, but having asked if it was an RX2 or Capella wasn't too unreasonable as it was listed as RX2/Capella Coupe, which made it a little confusing.....good for you Mo that it was the former, and I can't agree enough about the shape.

Just get that grille blacked out ASAP(!)....and I love the OM's on it too, are they staying or could they be for sale? :wink:

As for the "body rock".....I love sitting at the lights in the 8-0, wondering what the people behind are thinking as the whole car moves from side to side! :lol:

Yea Mick! I noticed that one on eBay and the tittle being Capella coupe...

This is a different car! OM's are on my mates car and he said that I'm not allowed to have them back...

I'll get onto the grill and brakes over the next few weeks and it's also up for sale $25k ono... Engine is and 12a extend port...

Body rock is coming really soon and I can't wait pull up the lights and have people going wtf is that???

classic! I had an rx2 with a 12a bridge and weber, people stepped away from it barking at the traffic lights. Its an amazing feeling when the car rocks in time with the brap, brap, brap.. hard to describe but unforgettable once you've seen and felt it.

Picked this up a about a month ago... 69 R100 10a... Full history and I am the third owner with everything original including un cracked dash, fan shroud, power aerial, unused ash tray and undisturbed wiring loom :wink:

Probably looking at painting it the factory silver color its original color was white...

St\ock standard resto but up graded motor like a BP

such a nice shape the rx2 coupe, and has one of the coolest badges in the mazda series the "coupe" on the boot.

I had a phone call this morning that Colin the gentleman I purchased the Rx3 coupe from below has passed away :cry:

He was a great man and I enjoyed having a really long yarn with him about his life and the various jobs he did over the years...

I also couldn't believe the day he called me to say that he couldn't drive the car anymore as he couldn't feel the brake pedal so I went over to offer to fix it. He declined and said the he didn't feel he could drive it and keep his wife safe. It made me feel pretty emotional that he would never drive the car again which he had owned for approx 40 years...

Anyway I just thought I would pass on this info as this car is very well recognized in the Bullen Victoria area over the last 20- 40 years...

his coupe is in good hands.
All through my childhood my grandpa owned a yellow 1300 ute as his work rig, i wasnt old enough to purchase it when he sold it, but I always dreamed of buying one and adding his shop logo on the door in tribute.

I have been cleaning up his shed over the last week or so and it tells a million stories... He was a very talented man and most of his tools were made for him by him... His tools are being donated to a local seniors group... He also had this thing that was like an engine stand (amazing build quality) and I asked what it was. It was so that if his wife had a fall he could winch her up as he was worried he wouldn't have the strength to do so, it was really great to see that he still loved his wife so unconditionally

One of his other projects but I dont know what it was for... Note gearbox :wink:

top work Mo Im sure he is looking down at you knowing he made the right choice to sell the coupe to you. Legend for helping out after the old fella passed away. I guess thats where your good Mazda karma comes from.

Done a few odds and ends over the last few months,

White R100 needed the wiring loom repaired so I sent it up to Adrian and he sent it back all fixed...

2 x 10a's off to Rohan to get machined etc...
