Give us details on you engine/transmission combo listing any upgrades and results. Lots of people are upgrading the old Toyotas with newer Toyota powerplants and want to know the options for their particular build. Diferential and rear end info willl also be very helpful.

Please include lots of pics!

Well i'm running a 2T-G and W55 engine and transmission in my RA40. Engine has been rebuilt to a 1702cc engine, with higher comp. ratio, bigger carb jets and ported and polished head and intake manifold. Engine is estimated to be making somewhere in the neighborhood of 110kW (aprox. 150BHP ). Everything else is stock from the transmission to the rear axle, running a 282 Axle with 4.3:1 diff ratio.

Requested pic's, shes still a work in progress.

My corolla runs a stock unmodified 2tc with 38k original miles on it, followed by a A40 3 speed automatic transmission. My rear end ratios are 4.10. The car gets up to speed very quickly due to the low gears, but cruising is terrible due to how high the RPMS go.

I plan to turn my 2tc's internals to a 3tc, possibly add fuel injection and a turbo. The transmission will be swapped with an aquired t50 manual that I plucked from a parts yard. and the rear end ratio will be swapped with a 3.583 ratio that I also plucked from the yard. My car wont be anything extreme, but I think it will perform the way I want it to.

I will be running my stock 2TC in my TE27, along with the stock T50 and 4.11 rear. So far I have a pair of Weber DCOM 40s, and I am in the process of fitting a Griffin radiator and electric fan. I will also soon be adding a Pertronix kit with a Flame Thrower coil, and I will be replacing the exhaust (not sure with what yet).

I am going to run with that for a while, and see how I feel about it. That will also give me time to fix everything else on the car. One day, in the far future and probably not until my stock engine gives out, I will build up a 3TC to put in it. I may or may not try and install a 2TG head on it, though I will probably go with fuel injection and forced induction regardless (I think a centrifugal supercharger would be really interesting, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there).
