I have had many jnc's but never a corona, always wanted a 78 4 door and finally came upon a gem.

I just finished my 79 liftback build 1 month ago so traded her for a 88 gts with a 20v silvertop swap and a 78 Honda cb750 bobber, the bike was just sitting in the garage so I put her up for sale, a couple of days later I get a call from a person interested in the bike but he had no money, he had a car for trade tho a 78 corona sedan, ohhh yea.

We talk and 10 minutes later he sends me pictures of the car and I can't beleive it, this car is clean, everything on this car is in great shape, all chrome trims are perfect, floor boards are prestige only rust is in the bottom of the windshield and the engine has just been rebuilt a couple of months ago, AC, power steering and all windows work the door panels even have the original blue plastic behind the door cards, she is perfect.

The owner had installed bigger disk brakes in front with some nice breaks, a new header, new 32/36, electric fuel pump and changed her from automatic to a 5 speed witch I'm still trying to figure out what tranny it has cause its beefy and tight, new clutch, water pump, belts you name it and its new, he even installed a new 85 toyota pickup radiator and electric fan so she rides great.

I still can't beleive this car is in my garage, I now have corona fever.

Mods well I already started the lowering process by adding 3 inch blocks in the rear and camaro shocks, the front I cut 2.5 coils eliminated the bump stops, new shocks and energy suspension bushings so she rides really good now, also installed some Enkei's 92 in 15x7 25 offset in front 15 in the rear

I was planning on getting a corona to do a 2jz swap but the engine on this thing is so healthy that I can't justify a swap so I think that I'm gonna turbo the 20r

Alright on with the pics

Does it bottom out much? Trim any bumpstops?

Well I swapped the rear shocks for v8 camaro shocks and removed bump stops so in the rear she's nice, the front has also new shocks and yes I removed the little nipple bump stops in front, she does ride ok.

I'm always stuck on Craigslist.

She is awesome tho, I get so many thumbs up and people asking questions it's crazy.

I'm still trying to figure out what swap to perform on her, 2jz is out the window tho to much cutting and altering so I'm thinking that a silvertop 20v should fit nicely.

I have a '75 Corona. Planning on building a 20/22R motor. Still on the fence though. Looking into the Beams 3sge motor.

LOVELY CORONA!

I'm a big fan of the colour and the wheels! (I'm on 92's aswell!)

I have no idea how you can drive it around that low haha, your k frame/sump must HATE you!
Goodluck with the engine swap! go a 4agze!

I have yet to hit anything, I'm always cruising so you see people mad behind me trying to pass me but I really don't care.

Florida is flat and the roads are pretty good so it's ok.

On the swap well I have no idea what to do cause I might be trading the car for a 87 RHD Toyota cresta gx71.

This is BEAUTIFUL

I love it so much. There is a really cheap 77 Corona Sedan for sale in my area. I am seriously thinking about picking it up one of these days... I am torn between the Corona and a KE70 Corolla. Though after seeing this, I am leaning a bit towards the Corona. I'll be viewing this thread often :tu:
