I recently bought a number of 69 Coronas, but decided to keep the 69 rt52 to build up as my project. I am more familiar with classic Landcruisers, so this will be a learning experience for me.

Plans are as follows;

Disk brakes in front, lower the car a bit and fit som 15inch rims/tires.
Stronger rear axle with disc brakes, posi, would like to stay Toyota...there are other options
3rz 2.7 motor, debating on which pistons (9.5:1 or 8.3:1), debating on cams, KORacing turbo kit with ebay intercooler
Not certain on the transmission yet, the motor has w56 attached any ideas?
I also plan or strengthening the sumframe and engine bay

My hopes are to totally avoid cutting the firewall and transmission hump and keep the body as stock as possible, please help steer me in the right direction.

Im in Las Vegas, cut a couple coils. 2 to be exact, will have some custom made...wanted to see how it would look. I plan on dropping the back 1 inch or so too.

The remaining Coronas will be used for parts and eventually sold or parted out. There are parts for about 3 good ones out of the 5 remaining, the other coupe is a 67 and my friend is going to build that simular to mine.

i cut 2 coils and have 3" blocks in the rear and the car sits level

There was a vinyl top on before, so I rattle canned that so it looks better, they really scored the paint badly when the put the top on...

I do plan on paint eventually, I am staying with toyota colors...not necessarily from the era.

I really like the metallic grey, the color was found on fj62 landcruisers in the mid to late 80's or I will paint it as close as possible to factory original.

Corona looks awesome. I love this era and there aren't enough around. That's quite a collection of parts cars. Must have been a tough decision on which to keep/part. I sent you a PM on the brakes.
