Was the Skylines from the 70's ever delivered with left hand drive?

Thanks,

Simple answer - yes.

Hopefully Alan can chime in but here is what I think I know:

I believe that a few C10 Skylines (4 cylinder) were manufactured in LHD but still only for sale in the Japanese domestic market. They were LHD because they were for Okinawa which was the American Military base and vehicles drove on the wrong side of the road
I think one recently showed up in Portugal of all places (memory fuzzy) but I am not sure if it was savable as it looked a little rough.

Later model Skylines from the 1970's were sold in export markets as Datsun 240K's and were available in LHD.

Hope that helps.

I believe a number of GC10's with 2.4 litre engines and left hand drive were sold in Europe as the 2400 GT. Dunno where I got that from (or if I made it up) but as ToolZ said, this sounds like a job for Mr Thomas.
(edit) I just checked and I didn't make it up. Phew.

we had c10 as 2400Gt's yes, we hade c110's and even a few c210's, but they were called 240K, or 2000GT.
Not sure what engines were in them.
In Holland only 4 or 5 still excist, hiding in heated garages.

Most of the LHD ones that come up for sale disappear to Kuwait etc. for ridiculous amounts of money in a few days.

a friend of mine discovered these a few weeks ago:

on a abandoned closed parking, as soon as he found out who owned it and contacted him he was told both of these were of to Kuwait :(

I have pics of LHD C10 somewere too.

LHD C10s are out there. Here's only the second LHD 2 door I've ever seen a picture of. Looks like it's badged as an 1800?

Thanks for your reply guys!
So it should be possible to find a Skyline in Kuwait, maybe?
Does it exist any register of how many and where the Skyline was delivered?

i dont think the kuwaities will sell any of them for cheap as they have paid lots of money to get them to kuwait. most of the time the completely strip cars and rebuild them as new! Oildollars must be spend wisely you know!

Anyone from Kuwait on this forum, or does anyone know a site/forum from Kuwait with classic Japanese cars?
