I'd hate for it to break too. But I hate not having a front window too, haha. If you are willing to ship, how much are you asking?

i bought a window from someone here and had it shipped in an original toyota box with foam blocks and some additional packing. it came in perfect shape!

i was charged in the $40 ish range for shipping but no clue what the actual charge may have been. i hope you get your window replaced, i can vouch that not having one sucks it big time.

Any thought to how much you're asking for the window itself? I found another one, but the guy wants $85 shipping included. Any luck with the shipping quote? I kinda need this ASAP...

Are you the guy that had the red mx36 woody? Did you change your user name?

ok update coming tonight...

quick question though.... do you need to use spring compressors on the rear springs to safely remove them from the rear axle? if you drop the shocks the assembly should come down right?

ok so i got the motor snug in the bay.... it clears the crossmember and the tunnel for the transmission....

now its just a matter of hooking up all the plumbing, wiring (not even started yet) drive shaft and sourcing a few more parts to complete it.

pics!

Image

clearance of the radiator

Image

ok here's my problem with the shifter.... the sc300 uses a swan style shifter and it hits the interior plastic.... is there a way i can use another toyota shifter or a short shifter that would not have such a crooked design with this housing?

Image
Image

i actually like that the shifter sits back in the tunnel like that.... guess when i go to the yard next ill search for older toyotas with the w58

here are my mounts.... xcessive manufacturing mounts ment for the mx73 and replacement stock mx32 mounts.... i think i will eventually get the excessive poly mounts but Im on a budget right now

Image
Image

you can see i have plenty of clearance.... two things i still have to find are a gs300 oil dipstick since i need a front sump dipstick and mounting tab... and i need to find/make a blockoff plate for the oil turbo return line since this pan was ment for a turbo application

all new steering linkages...

Image

need to upgrade to mx63 struts when i go coils for better brakes etc

and finally

the lovely engine pic..

Image

stay tuned :)

if the SC position is too far back, you can use the shifter from a MKIII w58 to move it forward a few inches. depending on your year sc300 apparently

does your shifter look like this (left):

or this?

yes mine looks like the one in the left. but not the lower picture....

now i do have the older supra plate that would move it forward... but in order to switch them out you must disassemble the transmission... it does clear the tunnel, so Im hoping another style shifter will work without tearing into the transmission.

ah, you're talking about the actual lever/rod, not the mounting position.

i looked up part numbers between the shifters for w58-equipped mkii and mkiii supras and the part number is the same, but the actual lever is shaped differently between the two.
