Guys just want to ask are these fender mirrors for the Z? Just got them recently and i think i have been robbed. Any suggestion? Thanks

they look like they might just be universal's, so i'm sure you can make them work just fine.

They look like Z mirrors to me? Universals usually don't have the proper spring loaded base, and the Z mirrors have the longest stem (which those appear to). I'd say you did alright.

Concur. Look like reproductions but look like z mirrors.

It's a bit hard to see in these photos but they look pretty much identical to mine which are genuine Nissan Zed mirrors.

From memory, there should be a Nissan bowtie on the plastic base that goes between the mirror stalk and the fender. I could be mistaken though.

CLEARLY not genuine - OEM - fender mirrors for the S30-series Fairlady Z.

They are a different shape and - it looks like - the 'cone' part of the mirror housing is made in one piece with the stalk. That's a clear difference from the OEM units.

The factory-fitted Nissan parts ( originally 96301-E4100 [R.H.] and 96302-E4100 [L.H.] ) were manufactured for Nissan by Ichikoh Industries, using their 'IKI' brand name, and the stalks were cast 'mazak' pot metal alloy, whilst the cone and mirror glass housing were spun steel. The cones were bolted to the stalks and a clear join is visible. If you look inside the base of the stalk casting you will see the 'IKI' brand name and the 'R' or 'L' handing mark cast into them.

Your mirrors may well have been made by IKI, but I suspect they were either for another model entirely or they were one of the many sets of mirrors that IKI made and sold as aftermarket accessories in the period. The mounting bases and springs look like genuine IKI pieces though.

they look like the phantom gt they sell on ebay. if they are the phantom gt they are the universal type. ive reserched fender mirrors for my car and cuddent find any especific ones for it or any old Japanese car. only original ones that wud show was the ones for newer toyota suv.

Most of the fender mirrors on eBay under $100 are knock off plastic I learned the hard way too
