A couple of things happened at Wakefield Park.

1, I ran off the track showing off with old mate Brinn in the car. (Those are his pics above)
I did it coming off the top corner as you go down the hill just before the esses that go into the fishhook.
Got 2 wheels in the dirt off the edge of the ripple strip which resulted in this on my autospoiler:

I'm going to need a bit of fill and sanding for that.

2, the other thing that happened was I ran out of rear brake pads.

Passengers side:

Before and after:

No pad material left at all.

Drivers side:

It had actually snapped the warning gizmo off

I blame Brinn.
But I can't be too harsh because he gave me my fabulous new pointer.

So I got this.

Nistune programmable ECU.

It'll go well with these.

Image

GT-R injectors and a Z32 air flow meter.

I'm running out of excuses not to do this.

Awesome project you have here! I've really enjoyed reading through all of it, especially the mini-tutorials. Keep up the good work!

Soooooo.....raised the car 15mm in the front and 10mm in the rear.

Image

Why? you may ask.

Because..

Image

It most probably happened at Wakefield Park.
I had lowered the crap out of the car for the Skynats (gotta impress the cool kids/fashion victim etc)
Hence on the track it was like this over ripple strips

Image

I've now got a bit of individual wire isolation and some re-wrapping to do.

So, when are we getting a write up on the Ecu, Injector and AFM install? It is almost the weekend in our neck of the woods, and I've already asked Kev what he is going to do about the Sti diff in his garage so this was probably a given that I'll ask you about that ECU in your garage that you have had for 1.5 months, and that track day was almost a month ago.
Edit: Making the post sound right/grammer.

Decided to go another direction.

Front suspension Take 2.
The S13 gear I have in the car now is terrific on the track.
Problem is the car spends 99% of its time on the road where it drives like it's on a hair trigger and bump steers like a bastard.

So I'm gong back to standard.......um....modified a bit.

Take standard strut (with Pedders sportsrider insert and some Pedders spring)
Pull it to bits and cut it in half.

This is why you put oil in when you change a strut insert.

You remember I took a chunk out of my autospoiler on a ripple strip at Wakefield Park.

Image

Image

Well here's the true damage

Image

And fixed.
Apologies for dodgy photography skills. I must be developing Parkinsons.

Image

I lucked out and found one on Yahoo Japan.
In the correct colour too.
These are getting hard to find and very expensive.
I now have a second Autospoiler complete with motors.
This goes with a complete front bumper assembly if the unthinkable happens.
