I gotta be different here, the shakotans are pretty rad, but the steelies for some reason look cool too. If the were polished diamond racing wheels, I think they'd look pretty sick. Since diamond has that steelie feel to it.

Good looking corona :tu:

since you asked for my opinion i'm going to offer it:

the first iteration was the best to date. it seems like you have it in your head that you need to follow the styling trends that have been making the blog rounds. DON'T. do your own thing.

the paint on this car looks too good, even if it's only in pics or from 20 ft. to remove and let rust. if you REALLY want to trendwhore, you should think about lowering it more first as your stance isn't right for the type of look you're going for.

as it was on the wat/copies, it looked like the sort of clean cruiser i'd expect to see at any parking area meetup in Japan. think twice before you go leghumping the stickerbomb and rust style, it's a fad on its way out and you'll be behind the curve. it would be a waste of effort and good sheet metal to let it rot.

I don't know, good question. I just saw the steelies and they reminded me of the diamond racing.

Diamonds weigh a ton. Stick with the little enkei/wats or whatever they were!

I wouldn't do this personally, it is a waste of a great example of a corona. Although I do condone the slamming part :P
Even if wide wheels are a fad (which is true when applied to trendfollowers but the shakotan look has been around for decades) they still make a car look ridiculously good.

What size tyres are you running on the rotas, and what was the size of the diamond racing?
