Just thought I'd post some pics of my new toy. She is from Tasmania.
Previous owner loved this car to death and spent a packet getting her to where
she is now. She was built to show and go.

Nice, very nice!!

I saw this up for sale...when you factor in what it would have cost to build this, it was an absolute bargain. Apprears to be a quality build as well. Congrats!!

That is a great pigeon pair. It does come in handy to have a supportive and/or understanding wife.....mine let me get my Seven even though I have the RX2 as well.

Look forward to some more infor on the new coupe, as well as progress on the old one.

Sweet new coupe mate! I also remember seeing it for sale and thinking what a bargain, as it does look like it's been built well.

Nice buy on the green coupe.

I made some intercooling plumbing and an alloy radiator for that car back in about 2004/05 when it was being built.
Looks like the quality body work it got back then has stood up well.

Hi, very nice. Was this car used to advertise dash mats on ebay by any chance?
When I bought one (dash mat) for my 626 off ebay, they were using a metallic green S2 626 in their photos. If not the same car its very similar.

One and the same! I was surprised when I found that ad. Maybe a previous owner sponsorship deal?

Anyone know the size of the wheels and tires on the green coupe?

Thanks!! Car looks amazing.

What offset are they? Just trying to get an idea for fitment.

0 offset on the Green Machine whereas the 17s on my Ivory 6 are 20P offset.
You can visibly see how differently the wheels sit inside the guards.

I will say however, as much as the narrow wheels on the Green Machine fill the guards really nicely, i am not sure if 0 offset
is causing the ordinary turning circle(front tyres rub hard) when turning lock to lock and the exceptionally heavy steering.
It is making me want to fit standard offset rims back on to see if it makes a difference.

By comparison, my S1 626 definitely is nicer to turn and park, whether it has 17s or 13s on it. And, it is running neg 1 degree camber
with 4 degrees caster, which will automatically make it heavier in the steering.
