I'm interested in whatever you do with a JWT set up
From what I understand there are conversion harnesses available.

Well drove the car to work and it over heated. I only drove it 6 miles to work at 6 AM. So I am getting the Radiator re-cored. I have washed out the engine block by running the hose thru it. Then to top off my day while removing the radiator I notice that the temp sensor for the gauges was broken and when I tried to get it off it stripped the hex head. So I now have to drill it out and then retap the hole. Not something I am looking forward to doing. This car has been a tough one since day one. I will get it straightened out thou and it will be awesome. Ones question though my two radiator hoses have a layer of rusty orange stuff in them. What would you guys use to clean this off?

New radiator hoses.

A soak in Simple Green should do it? Perhaps a run through with a bottle brush. :tu:

So I let the hose dry out and the orange rust stuff just cracks off. Dropped the radiator off to get re-cored. He confirmed that it was clogged. Also got my new thermostat and gasket from Adam @ feast auto.

He also ordered me a thermo sensor so that is on the way to.

Awesome project, loving the little bits of meticulous fabrication

Chuck a bit of gauze in the top hose and inspect that every week or so, no point in getting that fresh radiator all clogged up because of the junk that resides in your motor!

New radiator is in. Took car out for a drive and let it sit for 20 minutes running. Temp went up, fan came on, temp went down. Works great.

So got some new parts in. I have been waiting for these since april.

I got the rear defrost and front headlight washer switches. Also got the rubber seals that go between the door and rear quarter window, two new window cranks, a hood prop clip, sun visor clips, and the green nissan manuals. I have to admit that the manuals are not what I was expecting. Beside the fact that they are in japanese (which I knew they would be) I was hoping that they would have a wiring diagram for the whole DR30. That is one think that I really want to own. There was also a box a Jenensis parts that got lost in customs. I am hoping that they show up but I have to wait and find out.

That's awesome!

What does the manuals cover then if there are no wiring diagrams?

Nice, where did you get those window seals from? I have those green books too not quite as helpful as I would have liked. And if you do happen to run across a wiring diagram could you please let me know, My DR30 wires are half melted and a mess. I am having an engine swap done and it would be nice to know what wires are what.

The books are more tech for things like the engine and how to measure body parts if it is wrecked. They are some wiring things but they are more for a specific electronic part.

I got the window rubbers from a place called KRS. I can dig up the website later.
I bought two sets. One for me and one to maybe sell if some one needed them.

where did you get the interior pieces?

So I have been working on the rear interior as of late. I took out the roll cage and got some new interior pieces.

I bought the rear trim set and the rear shelf cover.

The cover comes with not holes cut in it but does come with instructions and a template to cut the holes.

I only cut the wiper motor hole and not the two for the rear shock mount access. I am going to use rivnuts and hold the rear shelf on with some screws. I think it will look cleaner and I will not have to worry about breaking the material when I pull off the covers to get to the shocks.
