Just wondering if anyone out there might know where I could find some DVD's of the mid to late 70's Japanese touring car racing? I'm mainly after something with racing footage of the yellow/green No.77 (or whatever other number it raced with) RX-3 GT coupe and the No.15 car, white with blue & green stripes. Tried a google search and found nothing.


Dom (savannarx3) was telling that there are DVD's available but couldn't tell me the name of them. I've emailed Pitstop book shop to see if they can help, does anyone know where else I could try?

Hi, have you tried Amazon.jp? They have a great selection of local stuff, with two tips perhaps for your searching:

o 'Jap' is kind of like calling someone a 'wog', so searching for 'Japanese' might be more appropriate.
o The plural of DVD is DVDs.

Some Mook publications have compilations as well, and YAJ is also a great source for esoteric DVDs. Good luck! Neko.

Hi mate, I haven't heard of amazon.jp before and never bought anything from amazon but I'll have a look. I never meant any disrespect, just and abreviation for Japanese.

I'm guessing Mook and YAJ are DVD publishing companies?

No luck with amazon.jp, even though I selected the english version everything I click on to look at comes up in Japanese.

Kev, thanks for the link. I couldn't see anything on there but I sent them a detailed email about the car, maybe they'll know something or have the resourses to find out, fingers crossed.

I reckon you might not have much luck looking for a Mazda video, but there are heaps of Skyline videos from the early 70s. Of you may have to search for the major races, like Fuji Grand Champion, Fuji 250km, Fuji 500km etc
