That motor looks beautiful. 8)

Isn't it funny how these cars sit like a 4x4 without the engine?

Well, found a few problems with my celica and a few things i really need to change. First of need to change the diff seal, change the clutch master cylinder and clean and rebuild the carbs. And something i really need to change is the oil pressure sensor, will be installing one from another car which will have a oil pressure light and will react way faster than this one. Secondly need to replace the choke cable. So looks like ill have something to do on the weekend.

Murad, how is the side trim installed on these? I was thinking of removing mine tomorrow.

If by side trim u mean those chrome strips on the doors and fenders, their held on my double sided tape. Best way of removing them is to use a heat gun, that way u wont get any left over tape on your car. Saves a bit of time.

Thanks. 8) I need a heat gun to pull off all the ugly "chrome" vinyl tape below it, anyways...

Hi Camshaft,

Nothing to deal with the subject here, I just noticed that you are from Cleveland, and I just bought a few weeks ago a Mustang with a V8 Cleveland engine in it

Yes sir! Incidentally, I have a Mustang Cobra with an engine built in Detroit. If I'm ever on that side of town, I'll take some pictures of the Cleveland engine plant in its current state for you. They're building the EcoBoost V6 now. 8) A Mustang in France sounds like my kind of party; send me some pics sometime.

Well did a few things to the celica this past week. Rebuilt the brake and clutch master cylinders, made a new choke cable and fitted the original horn (had air horns installed whitch i just could not stand). Next week will be rebuilding the front and rear brakes, changing transmission and diff oil and hopefully will be rebuilding the suspension with polyurethane bushings.

Took apart the front calipers today, and finally understood why i didint have any brakes. They were full of thick black stuff, and were rusted badly. So bought new caliper cylinders, and rubbers (if anyone asks a mk2 vw golf cylinder will fit to a toyota caliper without any problems). Tomorrow will be painting the calipers black and hopefully will start to take apart the rear brakes.

Very Nice looking RA40. I didn't even know they could look that good.

If anyone is really interested in the bodykitt, i might consider selling it (or just giving it away), all of it except the front lip and the hood.

I don't even have money to pay for shipping if you were to just give it away. Hope it goes to a good home.
