Fantastic looking Coronas you have there. I wasn't a huge fan of this body style until I saw yours. Very unique with lots of clever touches throughout, just how I like it.

ok i have had enough time starring at your ride
and i have to bring my corona down a bit
i'm going 3"all around
how many coils did you cut?im guessing i would cut one less or about the
same to get around 3 inches.
my springs are a little saggy in the rear so as long as its close enough

did you get the white walls?if so need pics :tu:

whats up redma61,
Yea definitely drop it on its guts.
I used the 4" blocks and cut about 2 coils out.
See picture

Image

All i do is measure from the lowest point of contact for the spring up 4" and cut the spring in that position.

I have cut springs a shit load and have always done it that way and never had any problems

Ive just ordered some 2.5" blocks and some more springs so I have one set for show days so its 4" drop then have a second set for cruising with a 2.5" drop.

you should post some pics of you RT

Nice dude looks very clean.
I just painted my rear taillight backboard matte black on weekend to match my front matte black grill looks awesome.
Is your rona standard except for lowering ect.?

How did you lower your rona?

I see your rona has a few little differences

Indicators in rear 1/4 panels
Chrome trim running under the doors

My mate has a machine for applying whitewalls to any tire so can make the whitewall as thick or as thin as you like it costs me $80 AUD to do all 4 tires

Check it out on youtube pretty sure there is a few videos of how its done.
Surely someone close to you will do it.

Can do different colors also.

I had my daily driver mercedes done see below pics and it takes about 2 hours do 4 wheels

whats up.
No real updates.

I removed the dash vinyl and it is now bare steel which looks cool.

Will post up a pic in the next few days also should have soem new springs next week to fit so its will be at a driveable height.

Currently go some massive projects on at wprk and have been and will be onsite at open cut mines for the commign months so car time will be few and far between.

Cheers

Nice work with the coronas. I will be making a thread for my RT43 soon. Do your front tires rub when making turns?

As an ex-RT40 driver (white with blue), this is easy one of the best photographs I've seen in a while. You've got that 1970s Kodak print feel going well, and the gum-tree & train just top it off. Wicked stuff! Neko.

Looks amazing I just got my first RT40, same color. I got it non running and missing rear bumper and broken hood latch.

Would love to find an 18RG but not very common here without having to ship.

I have never had a car with front drum brakes, do you feel they are adequate?

whats up,
another quick update.
Car is all registered and on the road now, yusss my new daily driver
White walls going on this weekend.

Hopefully have gilmer gear drive pricing this week too, all design work done just waiting on pricing from fabricators, if anyone is keen for 18rg gilmer drives let me know.
Im getting a set for crank pulley, water pump and alternator for now, currently looking for blower to put on!!!!!!
Think ive found the one i want 2-53 Detroit blower, will run it under driven so only pushing a few psi until i blow the engine then it will be filled with forged internals ect.

Paint work wise im starting on that this week, going to be RAT as FARK hahahaha
There wont be an actual paint job, im going to be wet sanding it in places down to the red/brown primer to give it that real RATROD look of a neglected rusty bomb.
Also designed my logo which will be painted the drivers and passengers doors also some stickers made.

Image

Some RAT040 porn from a little photo shoot and playing with photos.
