Today i picked up a datsun 1200 coupe. I intend to turn this in to a track car for hill climb, sprints and motor kahana. I am more than happy with my buy It is all complete and there seams to be double of every thing in the spares.
As you can see its all in bare metal so nothing is hidden. Rust wise it is pretty good you could eat off the undercarriage it is that clean. the passenger side sill panel is missing but that is no biggy because you can buy them brand new for $40 I wont start the build for a few months because i ive to finnish my 240z first

This is literally a ground up rebuild. I received my rims from rota Australia today. they are 15x8 zero off set with 205 50 tires. I am going to have to flare the front fenders / guards a bit to get them under but i sort of expected that.
next on the parts list will be some coil overs and lowerd rear springs from maddat.

Bond do both bolt in and weld in cages for them

Yokohama advan. I can't remember the model number of hand. They ate real sticky. They are around $300 a tyre but these are only 50% tread so I got them for $400 for the set.

The tires are Advan A048. Awesome tires but not cheap. Well worth the price IMO.

I just inherited a 260z 2 seater so now the shakotans from my 1200 have found a new home.
Now the stock 260z rims are on the 1200 for the time being. Now the more i looke at them on the 1200 the more i like them. I think with lower profile tires the would work.
What brakes would be sufficient under 14" rims I have some 200b struts with brakes i was going to fit up later. Would the 200b front brakes be sufficianbt for hill climbs and sprints?
