Unfortunatly, I'm
NOT a man of wealth and taste lol
Alright, I thought that was funny... I guess it's not... lol
I'm from Eastern Canada, on the North shore of the St-Lawrence river, north of Montreal in the province of Quebec... So yeah, I'm living in the rust belt, where it's not unusual to find rust on your new car before you even have the chance to finish paying the loan... yeah it's bad! So old japanese car are very few and far apart.
Anyways, I'm new here, but not new to the old school japanese car scene. Started out some time ago with Datsun/Nissan love, yeah, around the time they made the change. Even had a 1984 S12 with both Datsun and Nissan on the trunk cover. But I've been dealing mostly with Toyota for a couple of years now.
So exactly a week ago I was still the owner of a 1977 Corolla TE31, which was a barn find I had to drive 8h to get to in the freaking middle of nowhere almost 2 years ago...
(yeah, was missing some kind of a drop and a nice engine bay clean up...)

But since last friday, I drove again a couple of hours to an other barn and traded the car for something else. That's right, I came back with my favorite Corolla model of all (right next to the KE17 and TE27), a 1974 KE20...

...that need a little love, but is overall in pretty great shape.
I'll make a build thread about it in the right section if you guys don't mind and it should be updated as the car gets build. But keep in mind, I'm a fish biologist by day and a japasese nostalgic car enthusiast by night... so don't expect that thing to be done in a matter of weeks... the TE31 took a year and a half and it wasn't finished... close to, but not completed.
