Hey guys long time lurker here.

I love my E7 Corollas, my least favorite thing about it is the steering wheel position.

I have a slightly smaller than stock aftermarket steering wheel but would still like it higher (read: farther from my kneecaps)

I am in North America and none that I know of had this option. I am pretty sure it was available other places.

Without having to ship a column across the world, here are a few ideas I've had please let me know what you think,

-Toyota Corona steering column?

-AE86 Steering column (was this an option or was it on all AE86?

-Some kind of spacer to bring it up higher?

Thanks for any ideas you have.

Wish I could remember for sure, but I though my old 81 SR5 had tilt steering.

Ideas would be get one from an AE7X and start trying to make the 2 mate.

Thanks guys i appreciate the input. It does look like all hard top models did have an option for tilt. It would then just depend if you have an 83 (rack n pinion in north america) or 80-82 (3TC box steering in north america)

Something else to consider, the power steering column is shorter then the manual.

cool thanks for the info guys, my search continues!

When you say the power column is shorter than manual, do you just mean it is farther from the driver?

I have power in my AE71 4 door sedan

Power steering box is larger so shorter column. They are not interchangeable.
