I've been on JNC for a while but thought I'd finally put my cars into their garages.

This is my latest nostalgic. I was looking for something bigger than my 510 wagon to daily drive and carry my kids and their friends in. What better car than a bigger rare Toyota? Shipped it to Salt Lake from Washington along with a parts car.

Here's some history that I know. The brown car was parked in a garage in 1992 after gas prices reached $1.00. It was rescued the end of last year and now has the entire drive train of the yellow parts car. I still have a few items to dial in but it runs great. Both cars came with the more rare (I am told) 4 speed manual from the factory.

The yellow car was owned by a producer at one point and was actually in the 2006 TV series 'Vanished', obviously before it was wrecked. I considered getting ambitious and repairing the yellow car but there are too many good parts that I want to swap over and it has quite extensive buckling in the unibody.

When I got it I promptly dropped it 2" and threw a set of DR20s on it. Much better. I will update as I go but for now I'm driving it and fixing and detailing as I go. Here are some pics:

I really want a MkII or Crown Wagon. Yours is looking very nice sir! Especially like the DR20s on it. I agree with the sentiments about the yellow car. 20-30 years ago the parts would have been easy to find, now, you are looking at a lot of labor charges to get that worked out. Pull every good panel off of that car and then be done with it. Your other two JNCs look like great fun as well. Looks like the dime is turbo-ed, or is the intake just really shiney?

I'm definitely planning to part out the yellow car. I will even sawzall sections if needed so as much of it stays alive as possible. I plan to post it in the parts section as soon as I figure out what I want from it but in the meantime, let me know if there's something you're interested in.

Nope, just a home fabricated intake with a K&N. Mainly so I could adjust the carb without removing the air cleaner.

Awesome! Great to see other MarkII wagons here.

Hit me up when you're parting out, looks like there might be much that I need.

I added 2" blocks between the axle and the leaf spring with longer U bolts. The front stock springs were cut about 2 coils and I put in stiffer shocks. Good luck with your coupe.

I haven't officially posted the parts car yet. I have an idea of what I want from it though so if there are certain items anyone needs, go ahead and PM me and we can work it out. we can all pick at it together. I want to see as much of it used as possible and would like to see it mostly gone by winter.

Oh, and Pertano, I'm thinking of bringing it to JCCS this year. We shall see...

I love how perfect it looks with nothing but a drop and some nice wheels. :tu: Best thing about owning JNCs IMO.

I hope both of oyu make it to JCCS. I won't be in my MX29 but I should be there in something. Hopefully I finish it in time.
But I will keep an eye out for you at the show man. Keep in touch.

Hey man, I saw on Ratsun you added some yellow lights to the brown wagon. Did you tint those or were they yellow to begin with? I'd love to source a set for my wagon, too.

Also, your Depth of Speed episode was awesome. Just wish the MkII goons were in it, our cars need more awareness!
