Just picked this bad boy up this week. I'm not sure of my plans- more of a resto mod.

It's been a daily driver for the 2 previous owners and is not stock. Prelude front seats, rattle can paint job, some plastic side mirrors, etc.

Overall it's in great shape. Runs, drives, shifts, and stops like a champ! Tires are near new, brakes good, and all other safety components are solid.

It even has collector plates! I picked it up for 2200 including a spare front RUNNING sunbframe(engine, trans, etc), and boxes of parts.

First mods:

I washed it(I hate the black paint, but it looks better when it's clean). I plan to single stage paint the original color, R81. I am not making the body perfect, just clean some dents and give it a decent paint job.

Removed side mirrors(have fender mirrors on the way).
Chopped 2 coils from the front.
Restored the wheels and center caps.
Removed rear interior/panels/seats, and door panels(making new template from masonite and recovering to emulate the factory ones.

Looking good. Cant believe the painted it without removing basic things like the side mirrors.....

Old owner stopped by with a bunch of spare parts including perfect bumpers.

Cleaned and prepped new front bumper and installed with fresh metric carriage bolts. Deleted the bumper bars. Replaced the grill with a non painted one(until I can strip and polish the other) and added the fender mirrors.

Looks much better imo

Finally painted it! The finish is a little orange peel esque, but I don't care. Looks great, just having a straight, monochromatic car!

I like the color. Lots of pigment no metal. I have always liked orange peel and you can always buff it out if you get the urge.

Hey I just bought a 1971 N600 in a color very similar to what you just painted yours, I think you got a better deal though, I haven't been able to get mine running yet
