Due to OVERWHELMING DEMAND (from er...two ppl) we will sticky this thread for what parts from other cars fit on Hakosukas, where to get them, and what to do to make them fit. Post your comments and suggestions in the thread, and I'll update this first post from time to time to keep it all in one place. It's also a good idea to note down stuff you've tried, but didn't fit.

1. Front lower control arm inner bushes: same as Kenmeri

2. Front lower control arm balljoint: similar to 610 but different taper, so is unique to C10.

3. Front and rear wheelbearings: same as Kenmeri.

Notes: Kenmeri front inner grease seal doesn't fit, but if yours is in decent shape, you can recycle it. For the rear, Kenmeri grease seals and gland nuts are fine.

4. Strut/camber tops: Kenmeri and Holden Commodore oem tops fit. Not 100% sure but S13 ones should too.

Notes: Commodore tops are a slightly bigger PDC on the bolt pattern, but can be wiggled in place (note they take a 14mm shock rod, which aren't compatible with the stock 12mm C10 shock rod). S13 tops will also have a bigger 14mm bearing, but if you have say 280ZX shock inserts, then it will be 14mm anyway.

5. Brake pads/drum shoes: Kenmeri & 240Z
Source: wherever good 240Z parts are sold, also Endless (part#'s EP028 & EP011)

6. Discs/Drums: Early Kenmeri should be the same 250mm disc as C10 (to be confirmed) but late Kenmeri moved to a bigger disc that doesn't fit. Finned 240Z alloy drums should fit, but the metal shield needs to be trimmed.

I've found some really useful part through this guy, i bought an OEM dome light that was $60 USD, on the auctions they were double that. he has a parts list that you can try to match the part number, or you can email him pics of what you need, and he will check his stock!

I gave it a test drive...the part# for C10 steering arms is 48641-R0125 (which is the assembly incl inner and outers). He's got part numbers for heaps of Datsun trackrods (incl Kenmeri and Skyline Japan), but none were the same

Interestingly...I typed in the part# for Hako steering arms into Google, and got this: http://www.fandl.co.jp/56.htm If you scroll down half way, you can see the 555 listing for C10. Very much more expensive than the other part#'s but 555 are readily available for steering balljoints etc here, so maybe I can get them to bring in some?

One thing I've found is the windshield wiper motor and gear is identical from all of the 70's z's I've come across in the junkyards. The major difference is the drive spindle to the wiper arm is longer for the Hako but can be swapped over. The harness connector for z cars is larger but the wires are all the same color so its easy to splice in your old connector.

Good news...

I pulled my front hubs and took a long look at the front bearings / seals and I was able to find part numbers and confirm that all are easily available here in the States.

This is for my KGC10 - so I don't know if it will work on C110, but it SHOULD work across all C10s.
Take a look at your hub bearings to confirm if you have same p/n - part numbers are etched on the bearings...

Front Outer Bearing: NSK LM11949 (Japan CR)
Original Nissan P/N 40215 A0100 - still a viable Nissan P/N apparently
Same bearing as used on 78+ 280ZX, 83+ 200SX, 81+ Stanza, 84+ Maxima !

Front Inner Bearing: NSK LM67048 (Japan XR)
Original Nissan P/N 40210 A0100 - superseded by Nissan P/N 38440-41B02
Same bearing as used on 78+ 280ZX & 83+ 200SX !

Front Inner Seal: Mine is stamped with Nissan P/N 40232-a0101 - which is shared with both 200SX and 280ZX !
Original Nissan P/N 40232 A0100 which doesn't turn up anything useful on the net

Does anyone for certain if 510 front lower control arm bushings will or will not fit on C10 ?
They look awfully similar and I am tempted to order up a 510 polyurethane set of LCA bushings to test...

Anyone ?

Read the description though:
There's a blurb about how no one makes polyurethane bushings for 68-70 510s
These bushings are only for 71+ 510s and would require a 68-70 510 to swap to the newer style lower control arm

I wonder if C10 has the same LCA as 68-70 510s...

I woulda thought that the C10 arms might be a little longer.

FWIW the rubber oem kenmeri bushes were pretty cheap from Datsport, IIRC $20 for the whole set.

I would use datsport. I got my crossmember and diff bushings from them. They had stock. No place in north america had them and datsport was cheaper. They are the whitline bushings.

I don't know. I looked up the ones for a 510 on the white line site and then measured my crossmember to see if it would work and they did.

Does the arm itself have a taper in it? Or is it a straight thru tube?

You mean the front lower control arms? Those have a taper.

I think that the 510 is a straight thru hole. John will have to confirm this thou. So the 510 bushings may not work out so well.

I can confirm the 1971 510 lower control arm bushings have no taper to them. I purchased a set of Energy bushings like the one's Eric B posted a link to. They were identical.
Not sure about 68-70 510 but I believe they had the same control arms..
