Hello all, just wanted to share some pictures and info on my bikes. Honestly I never thought I'd be interested in motorcycles, but about a year ago I was bit by the bug! I'm really into vintage bikes and love the cafe look. And if I'm so bold to say, I've started a pretty good run so far, since I was born when Clinton was President.

The first is a 1979 Yamaha qt50 aka Yamahopper. 49cc, was the first motorized bike/scooter I bought. Sold it after about a year, it was too slow haha.

The two gold scooters are both 1984 Honda ch125 Elites. I actually received them from a friend in exchange for some yard work. They were great, needed some work but were tons of fun. Same scooter that Sarah Connor rode in The Terminator. Sold both because I wanted to buy a bigger bike.

The last is a 1976 Honda cb550 I bought less then a month ago. From the little experience I've had with it, it is very fun! I wanted cafe it out, but its all original so it'll remain stock. I wanted a smallish bike, but it had to be vintage and easy to work on, this one fits the bill. It looks great, not perfect, (1970's brown!!!!) but it sounds sweet! I've cleaned the carbs once but other work will follow. *Updates will be included in this thread.

Nice bikes. I really like the qt50, I have a friend with one. Slow, but still a fun little scoot. I started out with mopeds also, I've got 4 Honda sprees right now an sl350, a cb350 and 2 cl350 parts bikes now lol.

Man I'd love to get a 1986 special edition spree, I'm looking at getting a 1973 Honda cb350 four maybe as a project bike.

The special edition is white/green right? I've seen a few for sale up here. These things are all over, but it's almost impossible to find one with a title.

Yes they were green/white. I've seen a few over priced ones here in MN but never a special edition.

I bought my wife's for $250 and mine for $300 I think, both titled. Then I got a parts bike for free and found one on craigslist locally for $100, lol. We got pretty lucky with them really. Too bad I wasn't so lucky when I was looking for a cb350 , lol.

Unlucky? I'm looking at a '73 cb350four right now that has 5,5xx original miles and its 1,200obo

I was hoping for a little better deal, but I did ok. I got my sl350 for $650, in extremely rough condition, but titled and running. I also bought 3 parts bikes, one titled, for $250.

Great looking 550, especially in brown--so period correct! I can imagine some of the debates you've had with yourself over whether or not you should chop it up and modify it. That's what I went through when I got a <3,000 mile CB200. The possibilities are endless with these bikes, but I just can't bring myself to change a thing on it. Only maintenance work so far. Really can't argue with that CB360 you posted though...

Well I do want to make a cafe bike, but not out of this one. In fact it is for sale. I might buy different Honda and cafe that bike instead. That cb360 is really my inspiration.
