Yes TSiSS350, lots of Pinoys are quite obsessed with boxtype lancer, groups are coming in but most probably lancer and toyota has the big numbers. I really have a hard time to get my wheels, got it over the web.. :D :tu:

I guess the reason us Pinoys are obsessed with the boxtype is because the body style did not change from '80-'88, so many of us growing up have fond memories of it. Even when it was first introduced a lot of people wanted one because it was so ahead of the competition. In fact Top Gear Philippines voted it the #1 sexiest car a couple of years back in a contest that featued quite a lot of European marques, testament of its cult following here in the "islands".

By the way, here's the link to mine, you might say I've been bitten by the box bug as well...

I think it also has to do with the fact that they were built locally, no?

..I think I'll answer that (Val is on company training in Singapore now) ...
Val got that fender mirror from my cousin. My cousin got it locally from "the source". I got mine from the "the source" also  Fender mirrors here in the Philippines are somewhat rare.. but luckily, I got a hold on 4 sets of these from a Japan surplus shop in the provinces and sold them all

thanks jun, yes got it from his cousin Angelo, not SG anymore just came back last 14th and fly out again on 16th to Japan... dre, I think I'll be having a hard time to get some old school stuff and everything... I'm here at Gunma OTA... I try to check SAITAMA if I can find time... wohhh :td:  hmm think I'll be spending a lot of money going there.. from the Hotel Wakasa and go around using hotel's old school bike, at the moment haven't find any... but saw a magazine store and got one available "Nostalgic Hero" well that's it! and still hoping, one more thing you have to learn speak their language too... if you lost you are really really lost & finally nowhere to go! :td: :td: :td:
