Random snap I took a while back (before it was stolen):

It's currently being polished by a shop in Tacoma, WA. I'll be sure to do a photoshoot when the exterior and interior are done!

That looks like the same colour that mine was before it was repainted. Do you happen to know what that paint code is? Should say on the vin plate...

Great looking MarkII! :tu:

What's going on? Did you ever find the lock cylinders?

Hey Unstated! Man I have been going crazy trying to get get my Starlet on the road. (Our rent was about to go up, thought I was going to have to move at the end of this month so it became a top priority. Just found out a few days ago that rent will NOT be going up, so I DO have a garage for another year!) So I took a rest from the Starlet and JUST started paying attention to the Mk II again.

I was able to free up the lock cylinder, and it works now. It's not pretty, though. The real issue is that when they used a screwdriver to unlock it, they didn't turn the inner section.. they turned the whole assembly, so it tweaked the sheetmetal. Got a little bit of fine work to do, but it should all work out in the end. As for the ignition lock... i'll just create an electrical anti-theft scheme.

So it's getting a buff and polish right now. I'll be patching up some interior spots soon. Wheels will go on when it gets back from the shop.

I could still use some rear springs, though.

Thanks for the compliments!

Sounds good man, I will probably have a lock set if you ever need it. I know where you can get OEM height springs from Australia. Or you can get the lowered springs as well. They quoted me I think 575.00 for fronts and rear lowering springs. It might be a option if your interested I can get you information. Just let me know

Well... I wouldn't turn down the opportunity if you have them! Let me know the cost and such.

is it King Springs? Well... I have a secret... RT corona front springs (earlier ones) fit perfectly and lower the car a bit. That's what I did... plus I cut them a bit... but with the lower spring rate, that works out just fine. So now I just want a set of stock rear springs to put in the rear and lower it by other means (brackets on the lower control arms). If you find factory rear springs... let me know!

So I need to do my own photoshoot... but this is the current state of the car...

Had the guys at Polished Image Detailing in Tacoma, WA buff the ridiculously oxidized paint and they actually managed to get it to shine. It was an amazing transformation.

I'll be sure to get more pictures up as soon as we have another nice day around here.

I still want stock rear springs, if anyone has a pair. Will trade mine happily.

Cheers!
