This is like my 240z; same yr, same color, similar parts, similar pains.

Very cool guideline. Thanks for sharing.

Some pics of the completed new floor pans from inside the car:

Also got the front sub frame, trans bracket, rear diff bracket re-powder coated black & back in the car:

For those of you with lowered S30 Z's, you might want to consider relocating the pivot point for your front lower control arms

It'll help your front end geometry along quite a bit - John @ BETA Motorsports did my front sub frame before I had it powder coated. Came out real nice & definitely helps to get some angle back in the FLCAs on my lowered track car...

I love your Z, E. C10's are awesome and a unique face to look at in the United States (For now!) but I LOVE S30's. My 510 won't be alone for long!

Did ya tell me what that bar/brace is in front of your front X-member?

j!

Also you mention the upgrade to 15x10 Watananbe's but aren't your new rears 15x9.5 -19?
15x10 would be a -25 ET and start to look pretty Bozo ha! 9.5 also a better fit for available tires....so difficult to find a good 15" DOT slick wider then 225 (235 Toyo R888's the only size bigger I thought.)

You are correct sir

Current Wats are 15x9 front & 15x9.5 rear - my bad! Don't know what I was thinking...

The gunmetal bar forward of the front subframe is just my front sway bar

Hey, I read over in your Hako post that you used a Canadian supplier for your floor pans. If you don't mind me asking, who was that? Cause I can only find them at Motorsport auto.

Charlie Osborne @ Zedd Findings / datsunzparts.com

He manufactures them
MSA merely re-sells them

John @ baddogparts.com makes nice repro frame rails too fyi

I got floors from Charlie, and frame rails from John

That's awesome and really exciting for me. I just picked up a '72 on monday and it's going to need some cut and weld done due to the classic datsun rust.

I'll be putting up a post here next week once I get some pictures taken of it.
