so got a new engine for it.
full swap, engine, wiring harness, ecu, everything.

here she is.

Might no be the coolest choice, but 60hp to 160hp should be fun! esp in a car that only weighs 1650 lbs!

ALSO i have heard from a lot of 510 guys that the single slams are way easier to swap in!

came from a buddy who is putting a dual cam in his coupe, has REALLY low miles for a single cam, should be lots of fun!

NOW, i need some kind of rear end. I am thinking that a GT-S/SR-5 rear end would be best, thats the only thing keeping me from dropping it in, is the fact that i know the rear end wont last a day!

Rx7 GSL-SE rear end!
Disc's (woo)
Lysergic acid diethylamide (woo)
good for up to 300 hp (woo)
relatively light (smaller than a celica supra rear end.) (whoowhoo)
This was a motherfucker to get off.

gonna give it to travis to weld the mounts on and make bigger spring perches, all legit.

excited.

measured the rear ends.

Rx7 rear end.

it looks to be about 1530mm end of stud to end of stud. and 1480 from disc face to disc face.

for the starlet
1350mm from drum face to drum face.
sooo about 130mm difference haha damn! 65mm spacer per side! i may get it shortened eventually.
definitely getting some fender flares :P

don't have the money for shorted axles ATM, it's not like i will be running crazy wide wheels or anything, so i am not too worried about it, if i throw some flares on it, it should be fine.

I need to properly fit the wheels. lower the car, and shit, probably gonna need some flares since the GLS-SE rear axle will push it out quite a bit.

also this came in today, just one peice for the swap
(walbro inline fuel pump.)

heres where it is at now

Quote:
few updates

local buddy Chambo and I finished the rear end last weeked (actually just chambo, I mostly got in the way haha), pushed the wheels out WAYYY too much, so I am picking up some 14x6 +8 centerlines soon basically I have 3 inches of poke of each side, ZG flares wont fix that.

found out the brakes are too big for the 13's when I tried to put them back on, oh well.

anyway this meant I could put the rear end suspension stuff on.
height looks good will cut a few dead coils once I get the new wheels and front suspension on.

still no engine in it, so the front end is wayyyy high, also still waiting of the ae86 spindles and stuff to put the front coils on.

onto the pics!

Image

haha looks like it's launching or something

also got a lip spoiler, new old stock.

radddddddd picked it up for a great price too. made in germany in 1982, germans are crazy, windtesting spoilers for starlets.

Thank you!

Just a little update. Working on refinishing the Z wheels. I like the way they are turning out.

Pain in the ass, hit em with a wire wheel for 30 min, buffing the smooth parts of the spokes, then 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of spray paint 3 coats of clear

Image

Image

I also worked with a freind last weekend to get the motor in. My motor mounts drink more vodka than your motor mounts!!

Image

However our plan didn't work out, motor is way to high and far forward. So they will be redesigned and then I can utilize stock mounts, which will be better for a DD anyway.
