Hi all

Made it home late last night - big picture thread to follow shortly

Car is epic but more about that later

I need a favor from those of you with C10 factory service manuals as I don't have one yet

I need the fuel line routing diagrams for the fuel tank - which brazed fitting goes to which part of the car and so on

FYI hopefully it doesn't change throughout the C10 years, but I have a early 70 (vin kgc10-006xxx) with the stock 45Liter tank

Your help will be greatly appreciated
Pm me with scans / pics?

Thx!

Eric,
Try this, from the parts manual:

Seems pretty simple at the tank end. Just one out, and one back in. All the rest are vents, sender and filler. Yours will probably have been modified at the engine end I guess....

oh of course, forgot the parts manual would have diagrams of this too...

looking at pic and it's crazy... mine's different... that explains things

i would also like to know the proper way the vents are supposed to be plumbed because i may have a slight issue there too

Take a peep at Fig. 101-1 in the factory parts manual for the close-up of the tank venting and piping. Let me know if you don't have the parts manual to hand...

Have you got fuel / vapour coming out where it shouldn't? If so, it might be venting / overflow drain not connected properly?

Edit to point out that you might have the 'wrong' fuel tank in there too. Anything's possible.

Is the issue that it sloshes fuel out of the breather tubes (that go down into the chassis rails) when the tank is really full?

If so, that I believe is a standard feature :)
