Hello, well I dash! Here is the history(story) of my DATSUN BLUEBIRD 180B 1800 SS GROUP 2... In the 1973s / 1974 MOTOR NISSAN prepared 4 DATSUN BLUEBIRD cut 180B 610 ) 1800 SS Group 2 to participate in reunite AFRICAN in 1973 the EDGAR HERMANN crew / HANS SCHULLER won reunites him(it) of the BANDAMA in Ivory Coast with one of these cars... They were equipped with the prepared engine L18 180CV. In 1974 He(It) left(restarted) with the another 180B to make the mêm reunites. They were 3 eme in the general classification(ranking) to has the special last one or he(it) abandonairent just before the arrival on: " leaky radiator ". The automobile was resold after the running(race) to private pilots(drivers)...

The automobile still rolled a few years and was champions of reunite Africans then towards the end of year 1976 her was repatriated in France to finish its career(quarry)

The automobile in run(roamed) until 1983, her(it) ended its life in running(race) on abando: limp in "hoarse" speed... The automobile was resold to a garage owner for "room"("part","play")... He(it) left her(it) with the ambandon during 20 years in a field next to a river which extended beyond twice The automobile fu imergée twice the last one of which was in 2009! In 2010 the automobile was resold and had left in the SOUTHWEST of FRANCE.. The last year the lad who bought him(it) contacted me to help him(it) to restore her(it).. But, he(it) was more motivated resold me and one month ago and she(it) left(restarted) to me in Marseille in the South of FRANCE... My project it is to make her(it) relive(live again,live again)...

Here is in the state where I found the automobile in BORDEAUX in the southwest of FRANCE...

I think you will find that it's actually a 'NICHIRA' ( NIhon RAdiator Co. Ltd. ) oil cooler, and that the ( aluminium ) radiator was made by the same company, which was a Nissan affiliate. Pre Calsonic.

No, those are the 'Violet' mags - manufactured by KOBE SEIKO expressly for Nissan's works rally team - made from cast magnesium, and which were very similar to the Kobe Seiko magnesium wheels as seen on the Nissan Fairlady Z432, except that the Violet wheels did not have the centre casting that the 432's centre cap was mounted on. They were nothing to do with ENKEI.

In the daytime I begin the cleaning for future exhibition and also to notice dégats before his(her,its) reconstruction... It is the 1st time on which I work on an automobile in the mythical past with an international palmares, it is stupid to say but has there as one "strange" sensation I am impressed by they " heap of iron used(worn out) ", I contemplate, I inspect, I immagine what she(it) has of to undergo, me says to me: " Needs not to mess around with her, me few not to allow me to make anything with this automobile during its restoration... Sacred construction site, "the chalenge"....
