 Post subject: difference in 2T engine blocks

I have this question for a while now. I've looked it up on the web but couldn't find a good answer, I hope there's someone here who can help.
I've got 4 number of engine blocks (for now):
11411-26010 => 2T
11411-26014 => 2T
11411-28010 => 2T
11411-28010 => 3T

Whats the difference in these blocks? (especialy the difference in 2T blocks)
As far as I know none of them is a 2TG.

as far as i know, there isn't any differences for the 2t and 2tg block and the same with 3t and 3tg block.

Wasnt the only different crank and pistons/bore?

2T and 3T has the same bore, 85mm if I remember correctly.
the difference is indeed the crank. And because off this crank the engine block is different too (crank is bigger)
2T has a stroke of 70mm, 3T 78mm.

But what I want to know is what is the difference between a 11411-26xxx engine block and a 11411-28xxx engine block is.
(if there is a difference)

Can't help with your specific question, but I can tell you there were issues with various blocks along the way.

For example, engine blocks from 2T-0264355 were not unknown to crack between the water gallery and head bolt.

2TC blocks produced from Jan 72 occasionally cracked above the No.4 core plug. This came about after a decision to add ribs on the outer left rear portion of the block.

In other words, there were production changes along the way. But I suspect you already know this happens

I think the main difference is in the block now that I think about it. For a 2T block to support a 3T crank you have to do some grinding to allow the crank to not hit the block when rotating. Atleast that what I recall.
