Hey nice work! You've got some great skills there. I wish I was that handy with steel.

ufff its a long time since my last post, but i'm still working on the laurel and it takes some progress!!!
about 11month of watching after the control arms, hundreth of e-mails and lots of companies... i've found them in seattle!!!and i really hope they will start their journey next week!!
its sad to see that some guys do wait up to a month to answer emails or do never answer them!!!!!!!!!i just want to spend money for parts, nothing else!!!
whatever i think now i will receive my set!!
trough the summer i had a lot of car shows with my silvia and also built an rx7 fc3s convertible drift car...just for fun....and it is funny :D
at the moment i'm restoring the rusty fuel tank.
i did cut it in 2 pieces along the factory weldings, sandblasted(glass) and now weld the small holes with a point and cut the big rusty pieces out to replace them with new sheets.
after that i will weld them together along the cuttingline sandblasting one more time then primer and black color.
you see my english is still not better

then whats the use for the 280 struts? people swap to them because of the bigger brakes. std. 510 brakes wont fit the 280 struts.

okay!well my problem is the pipe of the strut is very rusty on the top right under the thread.
i have no idea at the moment how to repair that!
and the reason why i want to use the 510 brakes is because i allready have all the parts for it.new discs, wheel bearings, brake pads and stuff!!
i think its not possible to replace just the pipe of the strut??isn't it??

Nice work on the axles and diff!

You can saw off the top part of the strut tube and weld on a new bit, with your skillz that would be easypeasy, thats how they do it when putting coilover sleeves on it, look on youtube for sectioning struts.

maybe 260z or 240z struts have the same diameter?
