Hi all,

I'm curious to hear what you all are doing for insurance on your c10/c110/r30 skylines here in the US? I've got the daily driver cars covered through Liberty Mutual, but am thinking of moving the VW, the Nissan & the Datsun to a Hagerty classic car policy. The quote I got seemed reasonable enough for agreed upon value coverage.

Thoughts?
Thanks,

-e

Right now all of mine are on state farm right now but once I move I will be going with Hagerty too. I need to use state farm cause of the home insurance and auto together I get a discount.

I'm with Derux, I also have state farm. I will be switching to Hagerty later this year though. Prices are only dollars apart but I feel Hagerty has better options aside from just regular coverage.

And with Progressive you were able to tell her the value you want it insured for?
They, like Hagerty, will cut you a check in that amount if it gets totalled?

Depreciation is a b*&%^, that's why I like declared value classic car insurance so much more

I have a Hagerty policy. They sell agreed value "weekend car" policies, which cannot be used for primary vehicles. I've never filed a claim with Hagerty, but I have enough friends who have to feel confident in saying that for collector car policies, they are either the best to deal with, or at least in the top 2.

Progressive is great when it comes to underwriting, probably not so much when it comes to claims. Up to you to decide what is more important.

Lastly, it's doubtful you'll see any depreciation on cars this old. You'll more likely struggle to keep upping your agreed value amount, as a fair number of these old cars become more valuable year over year.

I've also got mine on Hagerty - they've been great to deal with thus far(though have never had to file a claim)

I daily drive mine :)

I have USAA, and I will probably have to change to Hagerty because I think I will get far far less than the value of the car if it were to get wrecked.
