Honda actually made a block off plate for that mirror, they came on the dx's and base wagovans. My 90 dx came with one. BTW that exhaust was awesome.

Yeah I saw some plastic ones online but this was free just had to go pay my uncle a visit, heh.

The exhaust will be back but way more crazy and in a dual pipe form in a few months as soon as I get equally crazy wheels to match. I plan to inch closer to having a shakotan civic by April or so if all goes right.

A little news though: I went to pull-apart last week to get a new valve cover to clean up and paint to put on the car when I clean up the engine bay, and on the way back the powersteering dies and my battery light comes on... FARK.

I limp home and none of the belts are spinning. We manage to limp to my buddies shop and we try to take off crank bolt and its cross threaded. So we take an impact to the bolt and manage to get it off. First thought is key/keyway fucked up and prolly destroyed the crank. Turns out there was no key at all and instead it was held on purely by pressure from the bolt and when it was slowly backing out it was causing the pully to wobble which destroyed the inside ring of my pully and ruined the bolt. Unfortunately there were no crank pulleys at the local yard so I went and got some d15b7 bolts and keys which fit my engine perfectly. Then we got in touch with the snap-on truck who drove by to sell up a die set for the crank bolt and I cleaned up and rethreaded the crank and made sure there was no metal scrap just chilling in there.

So I ordered a new pulley online and I managed to get it on no problems and all is good so far.

Also my buddy found an old neuspeed bar from his CRX days and gave it to me. Yay free stuff!

I love it so far. Now I can't wait till I have the money to refresh the rest of my suspension and then get a rear bar as well.

Picked up an unpainted valve cover from the local yard and swapped it on today since I needed to change all the gaskets anyway.

The reddish color threw me off, but all of my buddies told me thats fairly normal.

Unfortunately I'm a worrywart when it comes to things and I over tighten things and I broke one of the studs... Looks like I need to go visit the local honda yet again.

Got it all fixed now. Fucking honda sold me the wrong stud so I had to go hit up a pull apart which was good.... BECAUSE THEY JUST GOT A 91 SEDAN IN AWW YEAH. So I finally have my fusebox garnish, rear ashtray, and I grabbed a whole fucking set of studs, and I'm gonna come back one day and get its headlights and front bumper as well. Then we found something very interesting.

After some quick internet verification I found out that those beautiful blades are indeed 4x100.

Gonna look pretty good with the right tires.

And then I finally got some pictures of my Double Rainbow wheel by Grip Royal.

My buddy need a wheel for his 240sx so I sold him mine and picked up something a bit more fitting of my cars color scheme. Also no more blinding reflections from a polished center, BRUSHED IS BEST!

Image\

Had a lucky find at the local yard when they got a new sedan on the lot... OEM blockoff plate! YAY. They didn't even charge me for it. (we go there a lot)

Image

And a candid rolling shot from a recent meet down in New Orleans. (before I swapped my wheel)

Image

Starting to stop spending money on other stuff just so I can get my car closer to the way I want it. Having a lot of rubbing issues with these accord wheels so I just ordered some stiffer springs to swap on the megans. Going from 5k to 8k, bumpy rides here I come!

A box of much needed refreshment for my front brakes. I love that rockauto still has so much for my car. after 22 years.
