i drive around with open velocity stacks on my Hako. most people put panty hose at least on theirs, but my carbs backfire through the Velocity stacks sometimes when i first start it, so i don't want them to catch fire LOL

For what it's worth, I've had open velocity stacks on my triple Mikuni 44PHH for the past 11yrs without any issues.

I've torn down block and head a couple times over the past decade and haven't found any issues.
I'm in the midst of a rebuild right now for the Z's next stage in life...

One option that I've used on velocity stacks is a steel mesh filter that sits over the cap using a rubber mount. It will keep things like rocks out of the intakes, which could do real damage.

The seats look very very similar to 1966 mustang seats but without the headrests
again mad car!
