Good luck with your build. That's a real clean corolla you got there. You don't know what I'll do for a pair of oem tail lights as new as yours... that includes killing, lol.

sorry dudes… long time since an update, unfortunately not much to show recently, just redid some old body work and welded in a patch panel for some of the rust.
also started on short strokes, using sw20 kyb excel-G inserts and shortened the front casings 45mm, still on stock cut springs for now. and I'll be cutting the rears and putting in kyb camaro shocks. the springs will be upgraded sometime in the future.

it's gonna go lower in the front soon, right now there is only about 1.5" of compression when put on the ground, I don't want the shocks toping out. we'll see how it works on the road for a bit first.

finished, obviously I'll be running proper springs eventually, but cuts and ss shocks are fine for now.

seeing as the trim is already missing off the passenger side doors i'm thinking about removing it all, any thoughts. I still have the trim from those doors in the trunk, but it's not longer straight.

Try heating the trim up a little bit and laying it out flat and see if it returns to the proper shape.

looks like the E7 will hit the back burner and probably become the daily while I either put a metal HG in my X8's 7m or drop a NA 2j in it.

I like the look after you cut the springs. How much did you cut them and do you have any other tips for cutting the springs. Can I use that stock shocks or do you have to change them?

I cut something like 2.5 coils off, I used sw20 front inserts up front and late 80's camaro rearshocks, both are about 45mm shorter (~1.75") and I shortened the front strut housings 45mm.

didn't work to well tho, the te72 springs are just way too soft, I've gone it with ae86 gts springs before as a temporary measure and that worked fine, but these are too soft. I might grab gts springs and cut them down or some ae86 lowering springs and shorten them, but that would cost money. you'd be better off getting a threaded sleeve kit and 2.5" race springs up front. and some trd's out back.
