Does anybody know if the Fairlady chassis was used on other cars with more than 150hp?
Or was the fairlady 2000 the most powerfull car with this chassis?

Does anybody drive 15" and 16" wheels on the fairlady and could tell any advantages or disadvantages of the different wheel sizes?

Last thing:
What colour would you prefer for a fairlady? What about the Nissan Midnight purple in really dark?

As far as I know, the 2L roadster was the only car to use the chassis, however the first generation Silvia might use it. I'm not positive, but I know they used the R16 in it, and there are a few other similarities between the two.

15s look ok, but often look too big for the car. 14s are really the best looking wheel size.

As for color, black looks great, but any sort of metallic looks good as well. Personally I'm a fan of a dark silver metallic.

14" wheels are to small for my brake conversion. Want to use a big brake kit for a BMW E30. Yes I know its a different bolt circle, but the 4x100 is very often used. So I can get brake parts and wheels cheap. Thought Alvin used 16" Panasports on his black beauty.

As I saw this picture I thought "Yes this is it!!"
I would do the tech work and only the worst parts of the body first and will paint it simple except the doors..


what do you think about this look?
If I have enough time, I will do the body work.

Does someone of you have contact to somebody from Nissan USA which could help by getting a "chassis stress analysis" or something else.

Nissan Germany couldn´t help. I will send a mail to Nissan USA if no one have a intern contact

Are you building a roadster or a 510? An SRL and SPL311 are roadsters, not 510s like you have a picture of. By the way, my roadster stops better with the stock brakes and pads than my E30 M3. Roadster brakes are really good.

No, I build a roadster - as you can see in my build-thread http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=15873 - It was only the style of the 510 doors which inspired me.

The brake is for the E30 guys who haven´t enough brake power. There are 284x22 inside vendet rotors coupled with E36 calipers. This have to brake a much better
