havn't updated this thread in a while so i'll start with this pic.

It died on the road, found out it was the fuel pump so after a few months of procrastinating i decided to take it off the road so i could do some things to it that i've been meaning to do for a while like possible IRS and engine swap, suspension, interior... whatever really, time will tell but i'm actually motivated to do shit to it now.
Found an MX13 dash unit and gauge set. still undecided if i'll use it or not and needs a crack repaired, but I quite like the square MX10 gauges so we'll see how it goes.

I've been playing around with fiberglass for a while now and since i've gotten better with moulding/glassing and getting a few good finishes on practice pieces i've started on a few things that i've always wanted but were never made for the Mark II as aftermarket parts. For one being a racing jacket or headlight covers and a custom front lip. Heres the 2-piece racing jacket in the making...
making the template

design for the overall shape

... glassed and started filling

sand, hit with primer or paint, check finish for any high spots or waves then repeat untill smooth

excuse the i'll fitting lip, i just cable tied it on here
so all i have to do is glass up some mounts, finish the sides off, maybe do a renforcement layer for fiberglass behind it and paint it to match the body. More pics on that later but yeh you get the gist of it.
4-pipe Takeyari exhaust has now been made up and is awaiting a new exhaust system so i can bolt it on

i thought i posted this up before but i guess not, i'll be glassing up some bolt on fender flares to fit some 14x12, i orginally had some Aerodesu oversized ZG flares but they still couldnt house the awesomeness of 12J's. I've done 2 practice pieces for flares already and they didnt turn out how i wanted so i'll be embarking on another set soon since i've gotten better.
this was the fitment of the 14x12's with the Aerodesu flares

... not ideal, looks awesome but to keep it at that ridehieght (ridehieght in this pic is without springs and sitting on bumpstops) which i want to keep it at or similar, the flares would get munched with any sort of suspension travel so i need to make some flares with an extra inch of housing. The aerodesu flares were already 3.75inches wide which were the widest i've found not counting b-type flares or works fenders and to fit them even with IRS i'd need some crazy -6 camber going on and 12J tyres arent cheap

i'll update more when more has been done.
