1971 Mazda 1500 DeLuxe panel van ..bought another estate too

I see some of You ask for updates!
I'm sorry for not being very active on this forum for a while, and when it comes to the car:
I've moved, and for the time being, I don't have a garage for my Mazda, so I've stored it in a dry place, waiting for a suitable place to continue working on it near by.
Don't worry, I won't let this project die, because I've been looking for this type of panel van since 1986!

And now!! Since my panel van seems to take more time before it's finished, and I really want to have a Mazda 1500 on the road, I've bought this one.

One owner since new, been stored since around 1995, just started up, and moved around a bit from time to time.
Needs just a little TLC, and some new paint.
This is not gonna be strictly stock and original, so I have planned to get it closer to the ground. And if anyone have a SS steeringwheel, or similar that fits: Let me know!!!
Best of all ... got it almost for free...

And today, I've got my self a complete and totally rebuilt 1800 engine with carb and exhaustmanifold, a 1800 hood/bonnet, complete front suspension, and some other bits for 1500.- NOK, in USD that would be about 265.- USD.

All this parts goes in to the last estate I bought.

If any of You out there that knows these cars as "Luce" have 2 or 3 Luce badges, and a SS steeringwheel, or maybe the steeringwheel from a R100 or similar, I will happily use my PayPal account

Hay i'm also chasing "luce" badges for mine iv found sum on ebay.au from japan for between $80-$100 au each.

Yes, I looked into these badges now, and finds out they want 80-100.- AUD for damaged badges. Thats not gonna happen from my side, because I also have to pay shipping!
I didn't imagine that the price on these parts was in that level ... :shock:

And the badges I've found on ebay.au is from RX4, and they are not the same as the 1500/1800 Luce badges.
I don't need these badges to get my 1500 in some sort of perfect condition, because here in Norway these are named 1500 and 1800. I want Luce badges because I think they are good looking, and Luce bagdes will confuse many people because these cars have become pretty unknown in Norway these days, so my plan is to take off all other badges, and have only the Luce badges on the rear wings, just to make people wondering ... but not at this price!!

Does anybody know if the horn button from R130 fit on a SS steeringwheel?? :roll:

I had the same idea with the badges.would look a lot better and more interesting than the Mazda 1500 badge
But $100au is way to much. Fingers crossed someone will remakes these.

I recently bought dozens of parts books and manuals of pre 80 mazdas. One of the many surprises was the existence of a factory 1500 panel van. Its not one of the models above but the 2192 SUBVR (A) L nodel "Closed van for Finland" (floor shift). Its an A6 (that means early) model. My "1500 estate" book stops in mid 68, so I dont know anything for the A7 cars.
