Thanks dude! Good to see you haven't fallen off the face of the earth! Traveling between North Whidbey Island and Tacoma to work on this is tiresome after a few days lol.

It was a good time to pull out the interior!

It's my buddy's shop, but basically yeah lol, he does the welding and stuff I can't do. Jason, the booster clears fine, the master cylinder was in the way (hits the runners), so to solve that problem I'm going non-boosted brakes.

Yeah, fair enough. Most of our GA-GC Galants weren't boosted anyway.
Let me know if you need any parts, there is a non-boosted Galant at a local wrecking yard.

I'm going to go with a wilwood setup, because I need to convert the clutch to hydraulic anyway. Brakes I think I got squared away for the most stuff. I do need however are the GC Quad headlamp buckets and the GD bumper turn indicator buckets .

Quad headlight buckets I can't help you with.
Bumper indicators I can do, I have a mint pair of lights that came with a spare bumper I bought.
I am thinking $15 each plus post

There's a few skeletal galants in a wrecking yard near me. Next time I'm in that neck of the woods I'll check it out and swipe em if you need. Is it just the pieces that the lights themselves fix to? I thought they were spot welded in?
Or maybe mine were just painted in :?

I wouldn't doubt it if they ware spot welded, the 7" buckets on my car are spot welded. I'll PM you Jason about those turn indicators!

Wasn't expecting the bulbs intact, but hey now I don't have to ask what size bulbs they use

FYI I think they're supposed to have a little rubber gasket between the lens and the body of the light. Most have all rotted away, but I don't think they catch much water mine are ok.
The more you know :D

it's fine, I'll end up using something like RTV gasket maker on them to ensure no water gets inside, but first I'll clean them up!

Gotta make it as clean looking as either yours or Jason's! :tu:

Dude, the 3M strip caulk is perfect for making gaskets on lights and stuff.

It's actually a 4g37 water neck on a 4g63 thermostat housing, just has the spot for the cap cut off welded shut and a air bleed off petcock on the top.
