what about dropping in an engine out of a 626? Surely there would be some floating around in a wreckers in Syd?

I'm sure if you put the call out, someone in NSW would donate one to you.

ps. really sorry to hear about your gf.

Is the shop that did the rebuild not going to fix it?

its not just the engine the body is starting to get tired and rust witch i would repair but with everything being pushed forward i need something not boring but something more reliable.

the car is at my mechanics shop now and he is looking into it.
it depends on the warranty I'm not shore if it was still covered.
my mechanic who is a family friend i sooo pissed of about it.

the problem was a detonation witch blow the head gasket in-between 3 and 4.
no major damage having the head and block check and going to get it repaired but either way it is time to get a new car and sell the old girl.

Philip have a point unfortunately you wouldn't get alot of money for your car, So financialy it wouldn't realy help. But it will gibe you a lot of painful thinking. And in most of the cases ppl end up buying something similar to have some kind of project in their life. So think about it is it realy what you need and how it will benifit you.

i know and i realise i will miss it terribly and that i will never get the cash back that i spent on her but i simply don't make enough cash to continue repairing her so i could keep her and it will slowly get worse or sell her to somebody who will repair it

Hello, most or we find 121 cosmo AP and spare parts, it is in Australia, but in France also we had with ROTARY engine RX5 and 4 cylinders enligne on 1800... I come to save from it a who(which) avit not moved since 1987, a 1800 of 1977 which I returned in the South of France... The problem in France, it is because there are no spare parts to restore model it is hard, but I lose not hope... With my forum TEAM go WE we try to protect them, we are 5 must to have saved from it I crération a topic new on my MAZDA...

its not so much the finding of parts but that it breaks down maybe once a month with something new. and thats cool i can live with it but my bank balance can not. not to mention rust is beginning to show its ugly head. i haven't really tried to sell it but i realise i can't afford to keep her. so i think it would be better if somebody who could get it fix got a hold of it. probably let it go for 4 grand due to rust become evident i don't think anybody will by it but maybe somebody could use it for something. :(

Thank you for your advice(councils). I see that we have all the same problem in the world concerning this model of MAZDA... But how we managed to restore one (she(it) is not finished, but the biggest is made!) then mine, is not so rusty as that... I plan well to restore her(it) it is by means of speaking on Web that about it about people begins at home in France where somewhere else to be interested in it in 121 we see it even to sell or which(who) go out of the oversight(forgetting)... I think that it is the great automobile which is worth being to save...

Ps :On my 121 there is alloy wheels GOTTI 6, 1 / 2X14 " of time(period)! It was of origin. A series limited sold by MAZDA - FRANCE If you want to give yourselves an idea wheel rim GOTTI is French, it is a mark(brand) of wheel rims specially planned for the competition. It is as wheel rims ENKEI for Japan, and indeed GOTTI it is the similar for FRANCE

Hello! OK I am going to create a topic on my Mazda 121, I shall go to see your topic.. For wheel rims, I am a retailer of product of renovation Carrosserrie, intercheerful person, engines, wheel rims, RESTOM, thus I have what needs for my wheel rims GOTTI, there I move of garage (I took bigger one, because I have 2 4x4 NISSAN, 10 DATSUN, Mazda and TOYOTA CELICA TA28 I shall take care of it later) I am spirit to restore for one of my DATSUN dres wheel rims "Américan Racing REVOLUTION" as that of the DATSUN 510 Of the BRE DATSUN...

I shall like to find your rear-view mirrors right and left exterieur which you have of origin on your car doors(doorwomen), if you " have a plan ", that interests me! Thank you in advance

Ps: I know your topic, I look at him(it) since the beginning of somewhere else I put the photo of your Mazda in my forum! With others than I found on NJC, it is so rare to see it....
