hello new to the boards.

Recently I pulled out my stock 3tgte out of my car and was wondering how much I could sell it for?

Its all stock aside from aftermarket BOV. Will come with stock bellhousing/transmission which I believe is a W55. Has a CT20 turbo that made 12psi.

It has a little over 130k miles and runs pretty awesome but I wanted to swap out to something better.

A couple of people have been throwing some numbers at me from 500 to 700 $.

I know little to nothing about this motor but would like to get a fair price on it. Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Do some research Google will help you, look up price on Ebay and big forums :)

I was able to find 1 or 2 on 3TCGARAGE.COM for sale. One seems to be mildly modified and was asking quiet a bit. ($2500) http://www.3tcgarage.com/viewtopic.php? ... gte#p56466

While the other one was basically a head and a block and a few things ($1250) http://www.3tcgarage.com/viewtopic.php? ... gte#p49434

this one I found came with a car and had two prices ($800) just for drivetrain ($1200) for whole car. http://www.3tcgarage.com/viewtopic.php? ... gte#p53467

what I did find out is the bellhousing is highly sought after for it can connect a T series motor to a W series trans. Ive seen a couple go for $200 and one on ebay thats at $400 atm.

other than that I have found next to nothing on pricing. On one hand the motor seems rare but on the other hand its so rare that maintenance seems to be a money pit.

Well I bought a 3T-GTE over 10 years ago to put into my 81 Corolla. I paid $900 for it back then.

It all depends on where you are located. 3T-GTE's are worth alot more here in the States because they are a rare sight here, and because of the potential of the motor.

It is definately worth more then what you were offered. The bell housing is worth a bit. I know some people, like me, want the stock manifold and turbo. I think your biggest concern will be selling it from hawaii unless someone there will give fair price.

Thank you for all the suggestions, I have made up my mind and I am going to sell it.

FS: 3TGTE Package
130k miles
motor/electronics/transmission
$1200.00

Rarity is a double edged sword for this one, also taking in consideration of mileage and how old it is, I believe $1200 is a fair price. Unfortunately its in Hawaii.

Still a good deal, if originality is in the mind, yeap, it is a double edge blade, but bringing it to the 21st cetury with new ignition and fuel management change that to a single edge power slaying sword capable of give you years and years of joy!

Good luck with your sale!
