Well just found this site, so just like 028, I better do another great old school classic ride from NZ

Well since she has been off the road for along time, Ill do a progressive time line of when i first got her..

First lot, Parked up to my mates old r32 detonation king!

After being lowered about 2 years later, With other goodies.

This was after being painted. About a year ago. Maybe a lot more.

Moding the factory intake manifold. Shaved and smoothed out. Ported with a 60mm throttle body.
270cc vg30et injectors. Does make it look a lot cleaner

Image

Image
PowerAid bottle .. Dont diss it. thats 40hp there alone!
Image

After a bit of playing around

Image

Now here is the depressing bit. Since getting it painted and driving her for around a year she
did fail her wof on brakes and a ball joint, That pushed me to finally take her off the road. These pics are what's seen on SDU. as some of you seen, But ill shorten it a lot

Image

The engine bay is being painted with bed liner. Its a strong fuel and fire resistant ( and rust preventer).
The great thing is, it doesn't chip So i don't need to be scared with it. It has a great knuckle tearing texture!!.

A close up of what it looks like

Image

The rest is pretty boring, But she is now the Main project. I'm just waiting for the rust to be removed,
. Just waiting for mofo to finalize the shipping for my Body kit and other goodies :).
Lets say, Flares. Kit. Wider than normal. And low. Should look a treat :)
Pannel work is happening yet again since i was ripped big time with the last paint job. Its not bubbling down the sides and on the roof. Pretty depressing a bit of money down the drain. But none the less. The project continues!!

After working with the engine bay, Found large amounts of rust in the lower strut towers. R30's were really common for this. Thanks to Nissan no sealing and treating the skins. (using double skinning also) Front windscreen is due to be removed to get to a lot of surface rust which will progress to more if i leave it.

Attempted to remove the rear windscreen. Pity. That FAILED big time. 95% removed and it shattered. (thanks Brent. ahah brother in law)

With that, and a huge shower of glass. Well i had to take back a fair big of rust in the lower corners.... Up around the roof line.. and down the sides. Lucky its only small pin holes, which i can access from the inner skins.

Wish i had all the rust done, its really holding me back!!!!!
got some progress. Rust is all fixed. and lookie lookie!

ALot more work now on the outside.. Consists of all the sideskirts been fitted and lenthend. Flares molded on. There is a bit more work involved there.

Custom front bumper is in the works also. Consists of a doluck copy r32 unit, Bottom cut off... Side skirt profiles copyed onto it also. Ive got alot of work ahead of me on that one. Due to me being lazy ill just post 100's of random pics up

Damn you've been busy.

What car were the side skirts originally for?

Anyone got ideas on what i can do for the rear end ? Looks a bit empty right now. :(

as I mentioned last night, that VL bumper looks like it might suit; rear definitely needs something nice and chunky to match the front and sides.

got some progress. Not much but something, All flares are now also fiberglassed onto the body, the epoxy had a little bit to much flex at the end.
