After both of us searching for about 4 years, we came across a rarity in the JNC world.
After seeing one in the junkyard long ago, we vowed that one of us would get one of these.
So imagine my surprise when one popped up for sale.
Instead of fighting over who got to buy it, we went halves. This is such an amazing design. Up until I came across it on craigslist, I had never seen one outside of two I had seen in the junkyard.
So may I introduce GunMachine's newest project, one of the few surviving S10 200SX/Silvias.

I like S10s too much... I'd leave it as is, but that's just me (that should be my sig)... I wouldn't fault you for adding JDM grille and bumpers :mrgreen:

Such underrated style, B210 components with an L-series engine. Wonderful. I've only seen one in real life, ever (a beat, beige example rolling down the 10 in the slow lane).

Nice Z, too 8)

My carpoolmate saw the beast as I was moving it for street sweeping. He quite liked the 610 that I had just sold, and was excited to see this little guy. He summed it up pretty well: this isn't just an enthusiast's car; it's the car of a connoisseur. I would have to agree; it's very quirky and takes a certain kind of personal taste to enjoy it. I happen to have that kind of taste. And I absolutely LOVE dogleg transmissions. I don't know why. And now I finally have one wrapped in a crazy AMC-meets-French-meets-space-ship body.

(I'm the other proud new co-owner, if you couldn't tell.)

No major plans for now. I had specifically planned to not buy a car right now as I'm saving for a down payment on my first new car (FR-S). First thing it'll get is replacement seats and an interior deep-clean. It's pretty gross in there right now. Then some replacement shocks and not much else planned for a little while. We'll do some sketches and see what sticks in the eventual plans.

It'll be a bit before we can do much work on it, so for now it looks like it'll be living in the garage. Had to take a few shots before the 70s fleet's bedtime--'74 CB200, '79 CB650, and the '77 Datsun, all lined up to get in their box:

Who's to say it wasn't? I showed a friend a picture of the car and she said it looked like a time machine. Maybe I went to '82 over the weekend. Lived Uncle Rico's dream...
