Wow man thats a nice find. i wish i could get another one. i got a 4 door back in my home country. check out my page and you'll see it. i love these b310s. i'd love to find me a 79 210 2 door or a wagon with a 4 or 5 speed. the one i have back home has an A15 and auto.

For a car that's been out in the open that long the body looks to be in good shape. Those flares are nice. Why are all these awesome B310s appearing on the forum just after I sold mine? I already want it back. :(

As for the engine my vote is for a N/A SR20 too.

That's what I thought too. :P

Oddly, I've seen cars sit for half that long here in town and they are much worse off...

Oh Wow. This car is in super condition!! This makes me want to get one myself. I have my hands full with my 510 though. How long has the car been sitting??

I left a note on a derelict 81' B210 a while back but no one called me back =( I probably would have kept it a modified A-series. I love seeing photos of these things on the track at Tomei and other parts of Japan. They are sooooooo under-appreciated here in the US.

Last time it was on the road was 1997. :P

Does the A fire up? Are you keeping the stock fuel tank or doing a fuel cell?

Not a chance. What sidelined the car back in 1997 was a blown head gasket. They removed the head, then just gave up on it.

Thankfully they covered the block with some shag carpet, so the cylinders look surprisingly good. This engine/trans will live on in another car, though.

Most likely a fuel cell. It is a race car after all. 8)

man if i were u i would stick an nice built high-revvin A15 in there. Those things can rev to over 10,000 rpm when they're built. they sound really nice with those twin dcoe carbs and a nice cam. but to each his own. the sr20de would work too.

Rest assured, there's a 99% chance that regardless of the engine, it will have dual sidedrafts, big cam, header, etc.

Not willing to give up that sound. 8)

I am a big A-series fan, have built tons of them, and if I was building a 1200, I'd do it. But I have a pretty firm idea what I want from this car, and I just don't see an A15 getting it done.

It's the leading choice if I end up going EFI. But I'm looking at everything in the Nissan family tree that's at least a 2.0L.

Although if I can figure out how to make spark on a CA18DE, carbs on that would be badass. :)

FYI, Picked up a '93 truck KA24E today, and a 240SX 5spd. Deal was too good to pass up, so we're gonna give this a go. :tu:

So... Now to finish that KA24E/Mikuni intake I started 4 years ago... :P

Thinking something like this... 8)

I bought mine on YJA, using a service call Hayatonka.

Link to ad from seller I got mine from: http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k150029019

You can also get them direct from Pit Road, but they are about $100 more from Pit Road than they are from that seller.

Been waffling on whether I like the early "round eye" front end better, or the late "square eye" front. So, I picked up an '81 parts car with a good front clip. :P

Can't tell from the pic, but all the front end bits are there. :tu:

Image

Of course the day after I picked that up, guess what shows up in the mail? My new early JDM side markers. Those may be up for sale soon... :P

Image

Also got my new front JDM turn signals in the same box...

Image

Got my fiberglass bumpers ordered and paid for, just waiting on them to get here. 8)

Found a local salvage yard that says they have two complete pairs of '81 coupe tail lights, so I'm going to try and pick those up next week. :tu: 8)

So, now we may be thinking more along these lines...

Having owned a square light model I may be a little biased but to me the square light front looks better. The B310 is quite a "square" looking car. Lots of sharp angles, not much curves. So the square lights look more fitting to me. I find the round lights more suited to the curvier models like the B210 and B110.

Just keep in mind that you'd have to get the bumper for the later model since the one in the pic you posted is for the 78-80 B310. On the '81 the license plate is mounted above the bumper so it doesn't have that cutout.

I agree. But what really sealed the deal for me is that I think the "square" flares look better on the later cars.

The late rear bumper isn't readily available in fiberglass.

But since it is fiberglass, it will be no big deal to blend in some extra material to do away with the license plate cutout. :tu:

Hey yeah you're right. Never noticed it before but looking at all the pics I have of the TS Cup cars the square light cars all have the older model bumper on. I wonder why they never did the late model bumper in fiberglass.
