Life has been really busy but a bit slow w/my personal cars. Something I've been thinking about doing for a while was changing the color of the fender flares on the c10. When the car was restored many years ago back in Japan the flares were painted a grey metallic color. It looked cool but it was time for some change.

Since I had to do some light touch-up in the beginning of the year the paint was still in good condition & was able to use that as a solid base. Cleaned them up w/some wax & grease remover & got to scuffing.

I actually kind of liked the matte finish & considered keeping like this but still went w/the black.

Second coat of black

and them done & back on the car

The metallic color played a bit of an illusion as they looked bigger in that color vs the black. I plan to change the flares in the near future but this will do for now.

More to come :tu:

So over the weekend a bunch of friends and I participated in the Anti-football run. Its an event that's held every new years day with vintage cars ranging from early 1900's and up. The sun was out which brought out I'm guessing 50 cars or more. Figured before I start full restoration on the c10 decided to take her out for one last time.

I had a blast driving up the coast with my friends and bunch of other cool cars. At one point I had a muira breathing down my back just to give you an example of the cars out that day. The drive was roughly 100 mile and all of our cars made it back with no problems. Although near the end we drove on this one stretch of road that was BRUTAL. Confirmation that its time for new coilovers.

I didn't take many pictures but my gf snapped a few pictures while riding in friends car. My friend took some more pictures I'll see if he would like to share them.

Thank you :tu:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Friday after a hard day at work I decided to fix the excessively low exhaust on the kenmeri. Sunday morning since the weather was nice figured I'd take her out for a drive.
The car drove & handled good. Lots of smooth 3rd/4th gear roads.
Saw the sign & I couldn't resist. :)
Thanks, Yes it’s an awesome road. A bit far for me but worth it. One of these sunny weekends let me know when your free so I can come visit.
Will do, going to add a fresh coat of trim black & put them in the car. Hope to put them in over the long weekend. Weather permit. :)
